So that's how it happened!

The flashback series has ended! The "Turn Back the Pendulum" chapters end with -97, entitled, "Let Stop the Pendulum".

Apparently, it was Shinji who was telling the story.. and now, the Vaizard are coming to join the battle. But on whose side are they on? Shinji mentions being in debt to both "Kisuke" and Aizen.. But don't the Vaizard hate the Shinigami? And what about Ichigo and the others? Are they going to fight Ulquiorra? And we are yet to see Aizen and his Arancar versus the captains and other Shinigami.. What going to happen next?!

Truthfully, I wasn't expecting Shinji to be the one telling the story. I had completely forgotten about the Vaizard because of all the excitement over Hueco Mundo (and Ishida's long awaited appearance). Perhaps we'll be seeing more of them in the upcoming war.. Oooh.. Shinji! What are you guys going to do next?!

Finally, the news has reached home. Jiraiya is dead.

In this one we see two people cry - two of Jiraiya's most important people. Naruto was very snarky, Tsunade was unusually subdued. Kakashi seemed not to know how to deal with Naruto, Sakura and Sai weren't even able to react. But one man managed to get through to Naruto...

And that man was Iruka.
