Yes, so after more than two months of inactivity, I'm back! Actually, I got busy and then got sick and then got busy again in the whole span of that two months of inactivity, so I wasn't even able to update once a week. So sorry.. ;;;

But I haven't been slacking off fandom-wise, of course! In the span of my absence, I've already watched the latest Naruto Movie, Kizuna. And ftw, there is cowboy Sasuke there, people. COWBOY. O.O

Aside from cowboy Sasuke, Naruto gains another fangirl. XD  Good for Naruto, right? Since things aren't looking too good for him in the manga... 

And from Bleach! Well, I haven't seen the latest movie yet (is it out already?), but I'll be posting something about that when I do.

Eyeshield 21 has ended! The last chapter was 333, a good number to stop. It was.. well, unlike most shounen types, it doesn't make you cry in that I'm-inspired-and-I'm-manly-but-this-youthful-ending-just-makes-me-cry way... I actually found the ending very funny, as I did with the entire series. Good work, ES21! We'll really miss you! If it weren't for this manga, I would have never ventured into the Reborn fandom or Gintama.

Speaking of Reborn, there has been a lot of developments! Crazy developments, whoa. Tsuna's and Yamamoto's box animals have been revealed, and they're already fighting with the REAL Six Wreaths of the Millefiore. Anime-wise, starting later today, they will be featuring the Arcobaleno arc, so be sure to read and watch. Amano-sensei said that the anime version of the Arcobaleno arc will be CANON. I wonder how they're going to pull it off...

Gintama has reached 160+ episodes! WHOOO! They're already into their fourth year, so lets support Gintama and buy those pretty merchandise! We wouldn't want them to be pulled off the air mid-year, would we? Manga-wise, there has been new development regarding Yoshiwara. There's going to be another Yoshiwara-related arc, focusing on Tsukuyo this time. Of course Gin saves the day... but there will be great surprises concerning his sensei... XD

Regarding that... I think Gin is an orphan. Perhaps he never met his parents, and he has lived all his childhood like a scavenger. It would only make sense... what with that image from that chapter... >D  If you want to know what I'm talking about, head over the mangahelpers and look up the latest translations of Gintama.

FMA Brotherhood is here! Although I haven't actually seen more than just the trailers. Is it good? Can anyone tell me? But of course, I'd still probably watch it. After all, it is FMA. (And I really can't get enough of Ed XD)

I've recently bought an Elizabeth pillow! It's very comfy! I'll post pics later. :D

I'm already in third year this year. Gah. I'm a little scared of growing up.. it all seems too fast. But then, I also want to get a job already, because I want to be able to afford the things I want. Selfish reason, yes, but I want to feel a little bit more independent. If I have to crawl through shit to get to that, I would. Hardships just make the end result feel even better.

I've also recently purchased an mp5 player. What's an mp5? Well, it's the same as an mp4 player, only there's an added file type that it can play. It can play .rm and .rmvb files, so it's really great, since I almost get all of my video downloads from RealityLapse. Also, Real Media files take smaller space, so I can store more.

My phone (which turned three years old this May) gave me a big surprise just the other day. According to its manual, the maximum capacity of flash storage (memory card) it can support is only up to 2GB. But then, crazy me tried to play songs with it stored in an 8GB mem card. I think the card was 80-90% full (about 6-7GB), so it was waaaay over the cited maximum memory. I thought the phone was going to crash, but... it actually worked! It played the files without crashing - although it did take a few seconds more than usual to load the first file.

So the phone is an LG KU250. It's an old-ish model, and 8GB mem cards for phones weren't that popular when the phone first came out. It was actually already top of the line back then when it came out with 2GB mem capacity. So it was a big surprise for me when I found out that it can hold up to 8GB. I wanted to try out 16GB, but I think that would be a bit too much.

Anyway, about the mp5. Internal capacity is 4GB, but is expandable up to something.. I'm not sure. The manual said it could only be expandable up to 2GB, but I'm actually using another 8GB mem card with it. And it plays. Without crashing. Again, I want to test a 16GB, and I do think it can support a mem card with that big capacity, but I have no mroe money to buy a 16GB mem card. It costs a lot. ;A;

On to other news, D. Gray Man is on hiatus again! Last time it was because of Hoshino-sensei's health... this time around, s/he (is Hoshino-sensei a guy? Sorry;;;) is being sued for copying some other sensei's work! The other party involved is none other than Death Note's Obata. (Or Ohba. I'm not sure if it's the artist or the writer... sorry..) So DGM fans, we're going to have to wait again to find out what happens to Allen and his inner Noah... ;;; 

I really hope it doesn't get discontinued.

Anyway, moving on! I've picked up to relatively new series! First one is 07_ghost; both anime and manga versions are available online. Onemanga and RealityLapse, please. Dattebayo Subs is doing the anime, kudos!

It's somewhat complicated, and I'm afraid I won't do it justice if I tried to explain the plot. But it's about this kid, Teito Klein, a boy who has no memories of his past and is a member of the Army. But after a certain incident, he recovers some of his memories - realizing that one of the army bosses killed someone important to him when he was still a child. He leaves the army and ends up hiding in the church, still trying to rediscover all of his past. While there, he stumbles upon a great secret concerning a thousand year old legend of evil death gods and fallen angels... and further on, he finds out that he was involved in a war of empires in the past, and that his existence could very well incite another war that would threaten to destroy the entire world.

Well.. it's not exactly that. I left a lot of details out because I didn't want to spoil anything. Anime version has already more than 10 episodes out. Manga version has up to chapter 38. Try it out, it's quite fun. Although the art is shoujo, the plot somewhat shoujo, the seiyuu are very kyaaah-worthy. We have Suwabe-san voicing one of the major characters here... and I think the one voicing Teito is Wolfram's seiyuu?

Second series is Bloody Monday, which I just picked up exactly 12 hours ago. :D  It's about Fujimura Takagi, a middle schooler (but then it says in another site that he's in high school, I don't know which is official) who is the son of a secret agent. He seems like a normal kid, but what everyone doesn't know is that he's a super genius when it comes to computers - he's actually a famous hacker called "Falcon" who exposes the crimes of illusive criminals by hacking into their computers and plundering their secrets. >D

What happens is that he and his father encounter an organized crime organization bigger than what they can handle... and they don't even know that two years prior, they were already being incorporated as major players in a cleverly planned mass massacre.

I forgot how I ended up with this one... I think I was browsing something.. looking for something Gintama related when I stumbled upon this.. AH! Right, I remember now! There was an update regarding the latest best selling manga poll. Of course the BIG3 are on top (Naruto, One Piece and Bleach), followed by a manga I couldn't be bothered to read up on, then I think it was Reborn already..? Or was it Gintama, I'm not sure, but I specifically remember Bloody Monday being listed in the top ten. It got me curious, as there were only three titles in the top ten that I wasn't familiar with. So I checked them all out, one was as I've already mentioned before, not worth mentioning (SHOUJO). Two was.. well, it wasn't enticing enough for me. But the third got me hooked even just with the summary. 

So I looked it up and found that there was a manga version up in Onemanga. I've been reading it since last night, and WHOA. XDDDD GREAT!

I find it interesting that although the protagonist is a genius, he's also naive. Or stupid. Too trusting! -shakes head-  It's probably one of the characteristics I like most about him. He's got the brains, yes, but he acts like a real kid. XD

Of course, there are slashy characters. There's his guy best friend, the only person other than his dad to know that he's the famous hacker. But then, there's also a tsundere-like girl character who likes him and is also his childhood friend. And of course, he has a sister who has a crush on his best friend (and vice versa, I think), so my yaoi dreams have already been crushed to death even before they had a chance to start. Anyway, I don't think there'd be time for any lovey-dovey coupley stuff with this one, since the pace is fast. That, and you'd really get distracted by the boobs. ;;;

Man-target manga? Definitely. For girls? Only those who like things like I do. The suspense-action-scifi-thriller-bloody-gore parts make up for the lack of yaoi. >D  It may sound surprising, but I do like a lot of things outside yaoi. I just prefer it over everything else. >D

Other other other news: I met up with a new friend over the summer. It was one of those rare days that I didn't have much to do, and I wasn't sick. We met up in Greenbelt and had lunch somewhere near SM. She's also a KHR fan, and a yaoi one at that. She was the one who introduced 07_ghost to me, and I'd really want to thank her. XD  Also, I pair her with Dino from Reborn, just because I like teasing her. Chumee! -waves- HEEEEEY! XD  Not that you're going to read this, but... :D

Also, a friend of mine has shifted from OrCom to Community Nutrition in UP Diliman. I was sad for a while because she was a dear friend, and I would have wanted her to stay. But she wants to fulfill her dreams, and shifting is the way to go. I hope she's doing well there. Friend, good luck and good bye. We'll see each other again, for sure. 

Classes! I have a weird schedule, but I brought it upon myself. I have classes on Saturdays! Gah. I hope this doesn't mean I'd be slacking off with the updates again. I'll try to be more diligent with this. YOSH.

Since it's already time for me to go (I have classes to get to, and I still haven't prepared for class), I'll end it here for now. I'll be doing another post later tonight when Naruto and Bleach (and hopefully Reborn) comes out. I'll also post updates about Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom and Vassalord. Anyway, Naruto kicks ass this week again! Whooo! He uses up the sage chakra, but he's still able to finish Pain with the move Jiraiya taught him. Last week we saw him talk to the 4th Hokage, and the guy left him with the most cryptic message ever: You can do it, I believe in you, blah blah blah.. : D

Naruto pulls through with his favorite techniques, though. And we can remember that last week he was already able to locate the real location of Pain. : O Does this mean Pain's end is near? : O

Next week's release can't come soon enough, XD


Bleach: Chapter 352

But he's still in his hollow mode, D: And the others [read: ISHIDA] are getting worried, D: Has Ichigo finally gone over the end? Is the old Ichigo never going to come back? Has Ishida lost the love of his life? XDDD [See IshiIchi moment on page 9]

What are the other going to do about Ichigo? D: Actually, Ishida's already doing something, although I don't think it's very wise of him.. [see page 12]. It makes for a very hot IchiIshi moment though, right? :D

-Sigh- But this has got to be the most confusing chapter yet. Is Ishida seriously hurt? Is he even alive?! And what the hell happened to that in the last panels, I couldn't really understand D: Inoue you whiny bitch, stop whining already. D: Oh god, mananaggal!Ulqui. D:

Oh I miss Hiruma. Lately I haven't been paying attention to him, D: I've been so caught up with Gin-chan and Gokudera and Naruto and Ishida.. D: I feel like I've betrayed him! : O

SO I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the cover page was the ever devlish Hiruma. YA-HA!

So anyway, I missed last week's release, but basically what happened was that Sena and Panther had a show down and Panther won. D: Sena used all the tricks he knew, but Panther just was too good for him. Sena somewhat loses heart, but Shin.. well, Shin's about to do something I think.

And by the end of last week's release, Agon and Gaou have already teamed up in order to bring both Clifford and Mr. Don down. Ohohohoho, this unlikely pair... I wonder what's going to happen!

This week's release actually starts off with just that, Gaou vs. Mr. Don. Ugh. Ah, but nothing really happens as first, Sena just almost gets crushed like a roach by Don. More talk about the Delta dynamite, but the real first star we see in this week's release is Musashi and his super kick. Whoooo awesome, old man! Hiruma looks really proud, ohohoho~

Agon and Gaou keep trying to team up against Don, but they fail. Meanwhile, the Shin-Panther showdown begins! Shin knows that Panther has the speed advantage, but Panther also knows that Shin has the strength advantage. Considering this, they choose their best techniques...

And the winner is ...

Panther. : D

Oh dear. Oh dear dear dear. Even Shin can't stop Panther. D: What's Sena going to do? What's Hiruma going to do? D: Come to think of it, that NASA guy's right. Hey Musashi, someone's moving into your teritory. XD orz But Kurita's expression has got me wondering... what does he mean by "the two demons teaming up again"..? XDDDD I'm so curious I'm about to explode! I want to see the next chapter right now! XDDDD

Anyway, I'm late on the news. I haven't seen rycolaa's page in a long while, and I doubt they're the ones who are scanlating this. o.o Just.. just.. o.o

I want to laugh. I mean, come on! Haven't we all gotten enough of PoT already? Why do we have to do this all over again? OTL What, is this supposed to be the high school version now? D: And in the spread, why are Tezuka and Fuji in the background, hmm? ---> yep, that was my main concern. Well, excuse me for being a perfect pair fan! XD

Uh yeah, something like that. It basically means, "Do you know? You know? He is a [tennis genius] miracle boy." Erm, something like that.

Anyway, I can't seen to stop talking about this. XD I guess I missed the fandom more than I thought, even if I'm complaining. And is that a cute neclace our Ryochan is wearing? It seems like something [Fuji] Sakuno might give him, orz. [See page 13]

I never thought I'd come back to this fandom. I really thought I was over this fandom. I never thought I'd see the day when I [openly] fangirl about EIJI again, OTL. And hey, wait a minute, I thought Kawamura was quitting tennis? T^T Oh fandom, why are you back!? I thought I was over you already! [cue: Just when I thought I was over you~]

Man, I would have cheered if the "sequel" were actually about Nanjirou or something... that would have been more interesting. Well, anyway, we'll just have to see what happens here, right? Although I'm kind of wishing that it won't take another decade just for this damn sequel to finish. : |

Updates:

My internet died on me a few days ago. My ISP said they were doing some revamp-maintenance thing, so I just had to wait. I had my doubts since I had just also reformatted my laptop - and I was thinking that it was because of that reformatting that the settings had gone haywire.

And so... I've had no internet connection for the past week. Exactly a week today, actually. Haha, so that makes it six days then. Still, that's the longest I've gone without internet use for six years now. And to think I had to miss the Naruto release date because of it. D:

On a lighter note, my test paper got lost and was never checked by one of my professors, so now I have to retake the exam. Some of my friends advised me to go to the dean and complain, but I was thinking of just going through the retake. Too much hassle on my part if I go to the dean; I don't really have the time to spare. Besides, I'd be able to prepare for the exam this time around, since I was totally unprepared the last time. Unfair to the others, yes. But they don't have to retake an exam, do they?

I'm really amazed with comedy manga. It seems so hard to make jokes which would really sell, but the creators are able to do it chapter after chapter, week after week. Kind of makes you wonder where they get their material... : |

Ahahah, and there is a somewhat PG alert at p9. Ero ero Chrome desu ka? Iie, sonna.. XD Chrome's really cute, na? Mmhmm.. and really smexy. Great, not only have I turned into an ES21 pervert, now I've also turned into a KHR lesbian. : | God have mercy. XD

So going back to the actual topic: Someone who hasn't shown off in a while shows off in this chapter! Mukiii~ Haha, I love making that sound. It's baaaaaaaaack~ XDDDD

After a long wait, the manga is finally back, guys! XD This is so cool.. I know we've all been waiting for the manga to come back, and finally, here it is! XD

So last time, we were left with a newly discovered Exorcist, Link, who was turned into a doll, Allen battling a Level 4, Kanda and Marie battling another Level 4 (with Marie losing two fingers), and with everything seeming so hopeless. This release give us new hope, as we learn just how powerful Timothy's powers really are...

Divine Possession - what Timothy calls his innocence. You have to see it, it's incredible. I wonder if they'd ever have to animate this one.. would be so cool if they did. XD So the kid uses his Innocence to possess the Akuma, and voila! A new personality appears! But this new personality kind of looks like an older version of Timothy, lol... <3>

But back to the story... so Timothy finally activates his Innocence properly, and it eats [?] the Akuma's souls... I don't really get what his Innocence is doing aside from possessing the Akuma's bodies... it looks really weird, but I figured it was indeed eating the Akuma souls... : | That's some nasty Innocence you've got there, kid. : |

His Innocence actually reminds me of Cross'. Remember Chomesuke? He was controlling her as well, but it was in a different league from Timothy's. Oh well, if Cross was still around I bet he would be Tim's mentor - which is a bad thing, 'coz we all know what Cross is like to his loving students, right? XD

Anyway, Tim finally gets his act together and decides that he's going to use his Innocence to fight off the Akuma. Fufufu~ I can't wait to see this kid in battle! <3>

Sidenote: How the F are we ever going to get Link to turn back into a human being!?

Last week we saw Ulqui's released form. Which was an angel-bat thing. : | Go figure.

Anyway, Tite makes up another "ultimate move" for the Espada. Or is it only for Ulqui? I'm not really sure, but what I'm sure of is that there's an ultimate move. Yes, another one. : |

So the move is named Cero Oscuras, which means something like Dark Zero or Obscure Zero or something like that. : |  Damn, my Spanish has gotten rusty.  : |

So Ichigo's Getsuga Tenshou literally does nothing to even scratch Ulqui. : |  Which is bad, really, since that move is already his most powerful. Ichigo, what are you going to do now?

Oooh, new pairing? Sena-Sakuraba, lol! But then, their meeting had all the possible elements of a romantic setup. :D What with Sakuraba catching a falling Sena and all... :3

Sakuraba talks about the impossible task of breaking down the wall between the physical capabilites of Japanese men and African-Americans. [And surprisingly, Shin's eavesdropping.] Mummy-man whose name and identity I'm still not sure of makes an appearance, Hiruma's staying up late making all the plans and shit. [And apparently, the same things are happening over at the other side.]

AND we get to see Chubou kick Gaou's ass! CHUBOUUUUU YOU'RE SO GOOD!!!! And what the fucking hell, Gaou's asking the kid to teach him the technique?! Heh, Gaou, planning on doing that to Don? XDDDD

And Mizumachi mistook Agon for Unsei, heheh. Nice "hair", Agon. :3

The chapter ends with the beginning of that match! Next chapter - we finally see the epic battle between the Japanese team and the American team! XD Watch out for it, guys!

Okay, enough! Another cliffhanger this week. Damn it, Naruto, someone help him. Isn't anybody powerful enough?! The kid is suffering! But wow, for him to be able to keep up with Pain.. this is something. Naruto's really something. Hope he doesn't die yet, though. We still have the Sasuke confrontation to worry about. :3

Wonder what that guy would think, though, when he finds Konoha in ruins... will he get mad at Pain for not allowing him to get his revenge? Or will he just shrugg it off... I don't know... But I do hope Naruto lives after this confrontation with Pain. So far, it just been a showdown of abilities. Wonder what's going to happen now that Pain has gotten his full strength back...

Last week we ended up with Hime getting roughed up by these two Arancar bitches. Ichigo tried to save her, but Ulqui went all mad 'coz our ever so popular red head wasn't paying attention at him. [Attention-seeking little twink. XD] Anyway, Yammy showed up all ready for some [hot man on man] action. :3

This week... well, Hime isn't safe, but she's not dead. Yet. But someone I've been whining for has finally been spotted, thank god. Baby, welcome back! It's so nice to see you after some 2000+ chapters. XD

Yes, he's baaaaack~ And guess how happy that makes me~ Aaaaah, I missed his presence. I'm just so full of glee... [oooh, and does it mean anything that Ichigo was the one who first called out his name? After so long... XD]

I tried to do it once [be cute and awesome at the same time, I mean], but people just kept on avoiding me and pointing fingers at me when they thought I wasn't looking. Hmmm.. [For this see page 4 and 5. Kyaaah, Sena's so cute.. XD]

Oh, and we can't forget about pages 8-10, everyone! The Gaou-Agon team up [if it can be even called as such] makes an appearance! Not sure if that's a good thing or not, really. I agree with Monta wholeheartedly. XD

Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom

I finally got a copy of volume one. Finally. Funny, really, since I wasn't even planning on buying it that day. A friend and I were talking how much it was going to cost me to have them [them being the first four volumes of Nora] shipped from the US when we chanced upon a LONE copy of volume one in Comic Odyssey. I bought it after a minute's hesitation [since the money was supposed to be for a new bag]. There was no way I was going to let the opportunity just pass me.

So I bought volume one, fangirl-ed over it, read it, fangirl-ed over it some more and decided to scan it. Not sure when I'll finish, but I'll post it when I do. I just hope people will be able to appreciate Nora as I have. It's a really amusing series. :3

There's a sequel [which is the more popular one] called SUREBREC. It's supposed to be Nora the second, or something. But I'd like to finish Nora first, really, since this one is the one I've been wanting to read ever since that preview in SJ monthly [Oct 2008 issue]. Apparently, Nora was serialized in SJ Advanced - meaning there was no way for me to see it even if I sold my soul somewhere unmentionable. But now.. now I can have to chance to read it to my heart's content. :3

But of course, there'll be a hellish waiting time for the second volume. The nice saleslady from CO offered to reorder it for me, though, so I just have to wait for her call when it does arrive. I'll post more on the second volume when I receive it. :3

So for this volume, we are greeted by Nora [which incidentally means 'stray'] and the [ugly, as Nora calls her] Dark Liege [leader of the underworld and all the demons]. The Liege sends Nora to the human world in order for him to learn [or to punish him for calling her ugly is more like it]. He ends up being bound to a human - but not to some ordinary human, of course. The [punishment] education has to be effective, so he's bound to this straight-A, no-nonsense student named Magari Kazuma. And by bound we don't mean something like the L-Light mishap or the Al's soul-random suit of armor kind of binding. Nora's powers are bound by Kazuma, and he'd have to ask Kazuma to allow him to use even just a tiny shred of his powers. And it doesn't help that they just can't get along with each other.

Oh, and did I mention that Kazuma's got this very sadistic sense of humor?

So more on Nora. Apparently, the Dark Liege wants Kazuma to train the mutt [to learn some manners, me thinks]. She assigns them the task of getting rid of the wayward demons [the "Resistance"] her army can't find the time to dispose of themselves. Kazuma doesn't agree at first, but after he sees what Nora can do, he becomes "interested" and accepts the job. Mismatch of the century? Not even close. The two can't get along, seeing as Kazuma controls Nora's powers, and Nora just can't seem to get his way. Add some misbehaving demons to the mix, and you've got yourself a pretty interesting plot.

It gets [better]. Apparently, when Nora uses his powers, Kazuma is also affected. Since Nora's powers are being kept within Kazuma, everytime Nora uses a huge amount of energy, Kazuma is also affected. Of course, the ever stoic Kazuma doesn't mention a thing [and I'd like to think it was some kind of worry in Nora's face... or maybe that was a sadistic grin?]. Kazuma claims that Nora's presence is giving him "so much fun", and that "he has never had a pet of his own before". XDDDD Oh dear. This doesn't even fall in any of the yaoi categories I like, but I still find it surprisingly funny. Yeah, I think the reason why I decided to stick with this one was not because of any yaoi possibility; rather I think it was because I had so much fun trying to stifle my laughter when I was reading the preview. Simply put, it was funny enough to get my attention.

I promise to put up the scans when I have the time. This series should be promoted more, darn it. We need more of Nora! XD

Well, would you look at that. I posted both ddl and online reading links. Yay for my un-lazy-ness. [But it seems Im getting stupider by the moment.]

So this week we have more Naruto fighting Pain. Oh, and Pain tells Naruto that they both studied under Jiraiya, but that's not news to us. To Naruto though.. it must have confused him. Poor kid. With the little brain cells he has.. heh. I'm insulting my favorite character. Great.

But Naruto's using Rasen Shuriken. Idiot boy. Don't you remember how painful it was the last time? Your hand will be useless after you use the technique. And there are still more Pains to come. How are going to win?!

[The inner Naruto fangirl in me is screaming "Naa-chan nooooooooo! You'll DIE!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!" but I have to keep quiet. This is not the time to fangirl. This is the time to watch silently in horror.]

But something's different with this Rasen Shuriken. It's actually.. more shuriken-like. If you want to see what I mean, go read the manga. You'll be surprised, I think. Then again, I guess it makes more sense now, since it is named after a shuriken. And shuriken are supposed to be able to do that.. :3 [page 4, people.]

Kishimoto-sensei, you're getting crazier by the chapter.. Dear me. I wonder what he's going to make up next.

[I take it back. Because page 7. I don't think there's anything more impossible even for Naruto. But he made it happen. Damn Kishi. Stop making things up. XD]



Naruto Shippuden: Episode 93

I missed a lot of these. But of course, I won't be doing the ones I missed. Too lazy [yes, I know, that's the eternal excuse I give.. XD].. Anyway, Naruto keeps up with his training. With the frogs. LOL. He keeps on complaining, but he doesn't know about the future, does he.. It makes me laugh a little. Naruto's surely vey interesting.

Which reminds me. The Filipino Tsuna dubber is the same as Naruto's. Which is weird, really. If I get a chance to post a sound clip here, I will. I want to see what other fans think about it. [And whether I should prepare myself for the fangirl attack on ABS-CBN.. :3]

Naruto's running out of chakra, though. What going to happen to him if he releases the sage mode?! [OMG, SOMEONE HELP.] It's freaky.. those toad powers.. very very freaky.. :|

So a lot of things are cleared in this release. Or I'd like to think that, especially since we finally get a glimpse of Ulquiorra and Ichigo after such a long long long while [months, right?]. Anyway, some more of the missing numbers are revealed: Kyouraku's opponent is apparently Uno [Stark], the old man is Dos [Barragan], Hitsugaya's opponent [the booby woman. :D] is Tres [Halibel]. Ulqui is Cuatro, Nnoitra is Cinco, Grimm Seis. Byakuya's opponent was Siete [Zommari], Syazel [how was his name spelled again? Szayel?] was Ocho. Rukia's opponent was Nueve [Aaroniero Arruruerie]. Yammy, Diez.

I'm aware that this info is already available here, but I just wanted to make a blurb for myself. :D

Of course, the next few chapter will undoubtedly be dedicated to fight scenes again, but at least now we can actually hope that Ichigo will get more screen time. And we'd probably be treated to some plot advancement too, seeing as we're finally getting a glimpse the main character after such a long while. It's bound to be a sign, right? Right?

Or maybe we should wait for Aizen's appearance before we hope for any plot development. After all, with this manga, everything depends on the antagonist. -sigh-

It streams the episodes of a certain TV station as they are aired in Japan. Real time viewing, in other words. So I got really lucky and chanced upon the correct TV station just as Gintama was starting. You could say it really made my day, since just moments before that lucky occurence I was ranting about how Gintama couldn't already be nearing its end... Which it is. Nearing its end, I mean. -frustrated sigh-

Gintama rocks ass. Episode 91 was very funny, even with the lack of Ginchan. If you google it, you'll find that the episode is about fat. Simply, literally fat. Whose fat, you say? Kagura's. And Otae's. And Otose's. And Catherine's. And Sa-chan's. And it's about potato chips, too. And laxative. XD Oh, just watch the damn episode. You'll see what I mean.

Episode 92 was a filler episode. Simply, literally a filler episode. And apparently, Ginchan's a good cook. Well, a self-proclaimed good cook, anyway. Not that I don't trust what he says, but well...

Anyway, Episode 93 was the best of the three, I think. Or maybe that's because I'm an Ultraman geek [or was, considering it has been years since I've seen Ultraman]. Yep, Gintama goes Ultraman. I don't know if that sounds like a good thing, but trust me, it was funny. Really funny. XD

And Japan wins! YAY. That was quick. I was half expecting about at least two to three chapters. But then again, we already knew they would win. Else there wouldn't be a point in the Panther-Sena rivalry. [Wait, I'm just going down for a bit to scold my brother for smoking indoors. Damn brother.]

Anyway, as I was saying, Team Japan won their first match. Rather, proxy!Team Japan is what I should say. We remember from the previous chapter that Agon had this amazingly idiotic plan on making himself out as the best player in the team. Man, did that ever backfire on him! Good job, Ha-Ha Brothers and company! [I can just hear them complaining about being called just the "company" of the Ha-Ha Brothers. Yikes.]

Oh, and Chubou [who from now on will be called Chububu. XD] was awesome! Not even Sena could block Yamato like that... the kid has talent! Hiruma, this kid will be a great asset for the Deimon team once he passes the high school entrance exams~

But of course, trouble is on the horizon. The next team to battle Team Japan will be the Militaria [did I get that right?] Team, and we witnessed in the latter parts of the chapter just how brutal they can get. What are the shrimps going to do? Can they even beat these monsters? And what the hell Gaou, stop picking on the Chububu shrimp. You're not supposed to play with your food.


Katekyo Hitman Reborn: Target 223 Online reading again this week, guyz. Too lazy to look. Or if you're desperate, you can go over to Franky-House and check there. I don't think they have a release for KHR this week, though... They have a new layout, btw. Nice and bright.

Speaking of which, just this week, our local Ichigo seiyuu [for the Bleach Filipino version] died of some unclear illness. So on 307th! DOWN, we had Hiruma saying that he a try-outs should be held to determine the members for the remaining slots/positions. Lots of Takami moments on the earlier pages.. Ahaha, he reminds me of someone... Hmmmm... -blinkblink- doesn't he remind you of someone? Someone from another anime, yes... Hmmm... Definitely someone...

Anyway, there's a lot of people trying out for the positions... and even a mummy is there. Ahahaha, weird, but Hiruma seems to know the mummy. I wonder who could it be... [sidenote: Taka and Yamato give me the yaoi vibes. Seriously. XD]

Last week we were given such a big surprise when Bel's twin appeared --- after Bel already declared in the past that he had killed his brother before joining the Varia. So really big surprise when Jill [aaaahn, what a name. Bel should have been named Jack instead. Ahahahahah--- gets shot by one of Bel's knives] suddenly appears out of nowhere and claims to be fighting with the Millefiore, against the Vongola [and consequently, the Varia]. I wonder what's going to hppen when the brothers begin to fight against each other...

And Fran! What are Fran's abilities?! His weapons?! I want to know!! XDDD

And for those who have forgotten, Tsuna's last opponent [what was his name again? He's the same one who fought Yamamoto and Hibari, the Mist person.. uh.. what was that again.. Last [last] week I was left thinking about how Naruto could do the sage thing perfectly. I was stumped, of course, but after rewatching some old[er] Naruto Shippuden episodes, I was left with a weird thought. What if he used Kage Bunshin? I wasn't sure how that would help, but he only needed to have someone else be the lookout, right? Since the sage thing demands a lot of his concentration, he'd have to merge with the frog [with the frog becoming his "senses"]. With the Kage Bunshin I wasn't sure how it'll work, but I thought Naruto would definitely work something out...

OMG, YAY. THREE RELEASES. :D

I'm not really into the Vampire-Gothic-Church thing, but I just couldn't stay away from this series. Hanami [scanlator] was right in saying that it's almost yaoi. Almost. But, fuck, it's as good as. Really. XD

The series is about a priest who is a vampire hunter, all the while being a vampire himself. He calls the person who turned him Master, and he.. feeds on Master's blood in order not to further commit sin against God. Basically, one of the "antagonists" is some sort of Incubus with an unhealthy obssession with Master. And of course, some secret organization with all its mysteries and the conspiracies with the police, etc. You have this sort of mysterious and exciting aura going on, with all the right amountss of humor and [boy] smex. What more could you ask for?

This is not really a good summary, but it's a start. The fandom is fairly small, I think. Want to become a fan? Go ahead and click on the links. You'd probably like this if you liked Trinity Blood [a lot of key similarities, I tell you... like how the protagonist kind of reminds people of Tres.. :D], Blood+ and Full Metal Alchemist [to some extent.. :D]

I can't really say if the plot will be good, seeing as there's only been 9 chapters scanlated as of 12-2008. However, with the few chapters available, I can already say that this series CAN be a big hit, provided some big shot magazine decides to produce it weekly or monthly. [Currently, it's production is very irregular because of the minimal audience response/demand.]

Let's support the fandom, guyz! Try it out and see if you like it! :D

Did I get the title right? Oh, I hope I did. I have a very short attention span, see...

Anyway, I've been meaning to post something about this for weeks. I just couldn't get around to doing so... but here it is! I've been following this even before the anime release. Translated, Kuroshitsuji means The Black Butler, and it's about this one demon of a butler serving Her Majesty The Queen of England's cute Guard Dog. :D

Anyway, it's a fairly young series. The translated manga had only reached up to the 18th chapter, I think. And the latest subbed episode is the one posted above. Shinsen-Subs is doing it, which is good. They're fast and reliable. BleachExile is hosting direct downloads, but to get to them you'd have to be a member. It's for free, so no worries.

I didn't download, though. I watch it through Crunchyroll [or Veoh, whichever I find first].


Naruto: Chapter 426 @ NarutoChuushin

Naruto, don't give up!

It seems like I was wrong with my predictions! XD Filler-ish chapter this week, but we do see some progress [really?]... Ebisu is facing Pain to protect Konohamaru, but what does Konohamaru do? Oh dear, oh dear.. Naruto, the village really needs you back..

Main focus of this chapter, I think, was to illustrate how the adult ninjas have started to think of Naruto more as a ninja and less as the jinchuuriki. It warms me to see that, really, but I wasn't quite expecting it yet. I was thinking it would go nice in the latter chapters when we finally see the ending or something...

Anyway, what I was really looking forward to was Kakashi's "bonding time" with White Fang. :D Ah, well.. I guess we'll all just have to wait for it. Hopefully it comes soon. [Assuming that the Ino segment doesn't go right after the Ebisu one.. Oh wait, I'm forgetting about Ibiki! Damn.]

Actually, I should be mad or annoyed. This week's chapter has some anti-feminist themes to it, pertaining to how Matsumoto and Hinamori are portrayed as just too weak to fight the super powerful Arancar. But then again, Hinamori's really weak, and Matsumoto's boobs got in the way, I think..

Seriously though, it kind of seems like there's this notion that since they are both women, they should be beatne up like hell and be thrown to sidelines while letting the male characters do their parts [still, Kira and Shuuhei are back, so I'm not really all that upset]... But then, come to think of it, the opponents are women --- girl power after all? Ahahahahah, I'm not sure. I just hope that the Shinigami-tachi do win.

KYYYYAAAAAAAAHHH!!! I can't wait to see Xanxus in action! But of course, we'd have to first witness Squalo beat the hell out of his opponents~ :D Aaaaaahhhnnn, Squalo~ We just got more proof of your sharky-ness~ Squalo has the same ring type as Yamamoto, right? Somehow the rain attribute doesn't seem to fit him, though... I keep thinking of Squalo as a storm type. :D

I just wanted to repeat that D.Gray-Man is in hiatus. The mangaka has fallen sick, so he/she [I DON'T KNOW THE MANGAKA, FUCK.] will be taking a break from making manga. No one's sure when the series will be continued, if ever.

Again, I want to repeat that I've already written something, but somehow it didn't get posted. Damn. Annoying. Piece. Of. Fecal. Matter. Gr.

Anyway, what I typed before was basically about Dattebayo dropping Naruto and Rumbel-Subs dropping Soul Eater, Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn and D.Gray-Man. First, let's talk about DB.

So Viz Media, TV Tokyo and Crunchyroll have decided to gang up on us and release their brand of English-subbed online streams of some anime [which includes Naruto and Gintama. :D]. The deal is, you have to pay a subscription fee to get the streams asap, else you'll have to wait a week after the first release to see the free streams.

While this is cretainly great [I mean, not only will it be free, it will certainly be legal in all aspects], a lot of fans have become very wary of the quality of the releases. From what I've heard [which is totally unreliable and has not been counterchecked at all], they're planning on having the paid releases up only a day after the actual release in Japan --- which is extremely fast, considering that releasing subs is a very tasking job to do. [The free releases will be available a week or so after the paid releases, but at least they're free. :D] One just has to wonder what kind of releases this fast production will give us, and one just can't shake off the fear that the releases would be crappy as hell.

But then again, if they are just planning to release soft subs, I guessa a day would suffice [especially since these are BIG companies and not unpaid, small subbing groups]. No worries, too, for people not living in the US since it's supposed to be a worldwide thing. :D

Dattebayo, subber of Naruto [and other anime which are not really of our concern right now], has decided to drop Naruto from their active projects because of the deal I described above. A lot of fans are reacting [try outraged], but I don't really see the point. Personally, I'd prefer the LEGAL subs since it's all LEGAL, and the group has certainly made its decision. Yes, there have been [a lot of times] before when DB announced that they would be dropping Naruto [aaah, the fun times.. DB screwing with our heads.. :D], but it's serious this time, I think [unless they're planning on making an underground channel of some sort]. Fans should just shut up and deal, really. We wouldn't be able to do anything about it, anyway, seeing as the group has already set their minds to it. We can't force them not to. End of story.

And besides, there would still be free subs. Just a little late, but still there. Although I'd prefer the DB releases because of the quality, but then again, we haven't really seen the quality of the crunchyroll releases, so we can't really give judgements right away.


On the other hand, Rumbel-Subs has received three Cease and Desist letters from FUNimation for the subbed releases of the following anime: Soul Eater, Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn and D.Gray-Man. Of the three, D.Gray-Man seems to be least of the fans' concerns, seeing as the series had stopped airing a while back [I posted something about it before, go check it out through the right side bar]. While I personally don't really care about Soul Eater [I don't watch it, sue me], I find it a little funny and annoying that a lot of people are saying that dropping these three projects was for the best --- because there'd be more time to work on the Gintama releases. Funny because I agree. Annoying because it kind of ruins the image of Gintama fans - it makes us seem too uncaring for the fans of other series.

While it's true that I couldn't care less about SE and KHR [the anime version, anyway], I don't think people should rejoice because they got dropped. Not only is it mean and inconsiderate, it's downright scary. Ever heard of [bad] KARMA, people? Gintama just might get dropped because of this. Divine Retribution doesn't spare anyone.

Which brings me to this: If Rumbel-Subs didn't think twice before dropping their projects because of the legalities [FIGURATIVELY. I'm not saying they didn't try to find a way around it], then isn't it logical that they'd also drop Gintama if and when Viz Media asks them to? Remember that Gintama's included in the list of anime in the Crunchyroll ordeal [Or it's supposed to. I remember reading it somewhere, but I've forgotten exactly where]. Does that mean that Rumbel would drop EVEN Gintama? D:

It's possible. Or not. I don't really know. I wish they wouldn't. I don't think any other subber could make such fitting subs as they could, considering that Gintama is full of cultural jargons. Naruto's actually easier to sub, I think, since it's an AU world where the references are mostly made up just for that universe. Gintama's set in an AU world, too, but the references have to be researched and explained in order for foreign fans to understand them. I hope the new subbers would realize that and use that knowledge to their advantage. Gintama just CAN'T be funny if the audience doesn't understand the "inside" jokes.

Naruto: Chapter 425

Kishimoto just keeps getting better and better [and better and better and better.. XD]

So now we've got three tentative paths to the story: one, Kakashi + White Fang's discussion [ahemFATHER-SONBONDINGSESSIONINTHEAFTERLIFEahem], Konoha's destruction [aka Ibiki finally showing us his legendary ninja skills lulz] and Naruto's training [more froggy-vs-kyuubi, anyone?]..


While it's good that Kishimoto-sensei's starting to tie up the loose ends, like in Kakashi's case, it's getting really confusing now that everything's just so muddled up. On one chapter the focus is on Kakashi, but then the next chapter would be focusing on a totally different matter - and while it's good that everyone's getting screen time and a lot of plot has been covered, it's really frustrating for things to get cut up to pieces and have fans wait for the next installment only to receive said installment after a looooooooong period of waiting.

And let's not forget that Sasuke, Killer Bee and the remaining Akatsuki [Tobi + Kisame + Conan + plant guy whose name always escapes me. damnit.] ARE STILL ALIVE.

But then again, maybe Kishimoto-sensei has a plan? I sure do hope so, since this chop-chop thing is turning out like the bleach dillemna I've been complaining for weeks now.


Naruto Shippuden: Episode 85

No episode next week, guys. Thanksgiving in their country. XD

I just realized that I haven't watched episodes 83 and 84. I'm pretty sure they cover the whole of the Hidan-Kakuzu battel with Shika + co [not the Asuma-gets-killed battle, this is the 2nd confrontation where Konoha actually wins. :D].. This week's release is still included in that, I think.

Bleach: Chapter 334

I'm not going to harp on Bleach this week since we [yaoi] fangirls get to see some fanservice. :D

Seriously though, can anyone get any more cannon in the Bleach fandom than Kyoraku and Ukitake? I mean, come on. Seriously. XDDDD

Some more Matsumoto-Hinamori crap fest. Ahaha. Ahahahaha. Ahahahahahaha.

Going back to Kyoraku though... he's really scary. I've only seen some instances of his "scary" face before, but so far, the one in this chapter is the scariest yet [page 6]. He was scary when he and Ukitake were fighting Yamamoto-taichou, he was scary when he was fighting in Diamond Dust Rebellion [with Hakkai-Zura. Did anyone else notice that they all share the same seiyuu? XD], he was scary just this chapter, in page 6 [repeat repeat repeat]. I wonder what's in store for Kyoraku.. XD

And Ukitake-taichou.. has a loli-fetish? [Oh noes!]

So Irie kind of explains all the things in this chapter. But one thing just struck me as very odd... why didn't Gokudera, the RIGHT HAND MAN, know of the plan? Tsuna didn't trust him to keep it secret? I doubt that, but maybe he thought Gokudera wouldn't allow such dangerous actions... but then again, just a word from Tsuna will have Gokudera bowing at his feet and doing all that he wishes...

And what about TYL!Ryohei? He seemed like he knew what was going on, too.. Did he really know? D:

I really want to believe Irie. I've always wanted him to be on Tsuna's side [and Spanner too, but that's an entirely different manner], and it helps that TYL!Hibari knows he's not an enemy. That's got to count for something, right?

I wonder what the hell they were thinking when they devised such a risky plan...

I have a question... is Kid already ok? I mean, if he's going to be in the team, he has to have already healed. Has he? I'm not entirely sure, but I think he hasn't [referring to the victory picture of Deimon where Kid can be seen standing in the background with a sling] completely recovered from Gaou's attack.

So Sena and Monta go around asking players from other teams to join in. Agon's bit in the first pages had me giggling a little - wth, AgonGaou moments? EWWW.

And Hiruma has a secret doll fetish. I just know it. [That, or he has some weird voodoo thing going on. Damn.]


EDIT: OMG, PANTHER IS SO FRIGGIN HOT. HOT. HOT. HOT. [And it doesn't help that Kujirai's his seiyuu. Damn it, ES21 should continue the anime! I want to see more PANTHER. XD]

I thought Kubo-sensei was going to invent another new character [damn it, I've had enough characters! STOP MAKING UP SOME MORE.], but at least he didn't. So in this chapter, we see her claiming that she's finally gotten it through her thick skull that Aizen is the enemy. Knowing her [and her Aizen-fangirlism], I really can't bring myself to fully believe that. And to think that Hitsugaya's even getting all worked up about her coming back to the battlefield... [And isn't it cute that Shiro-chan's acting like a lovesick puppy? XD]
