I guess I'm reviving this blog? XD

Seeing as I'm going to have so much free time on my hands on my last semester in college, I think I'll be reviving the weekly manga updates. I just wish I can maintain this stint and not fall off the grid after a few months into it. Cross your fingers for me guys! :3

no updates for ANY of the WSJ series we've been following.. :D We're still waiting for this Friday's release. -sigh- I'm so sorry for slacjing for the past 6 weeks.. ;A; I just.. got a little busy with uni stuff, then some family stuff, then some friends stuff, then some uni stuff again, then some more uni stuff again.. -sigh- But at least I remebered to go back here, right? :D


ANYWAY, Bloody Monday is progressing very nicely. There's even a special pariticipation of a Filipino brother-sister duo in there, so go check it out... XD Although the Filipinos do play the antagonists... XD Oh but their roles are so fun.. >D


Ahaha, I've fallen out of 07-Ghost, but it's progressing nicely as well, last time I checked, manga-wise and anime-wise. Usual resources can be found at onemanga.com and realitylapse.com. Oh, and of course, we have to thank Yuurisan subs for subbing 07-Ghost.


Speaking of Yuurisan subs, they're also [co]subbing DOGS! YATTA! XD I've been wanting to get into that fandom for a long time now, but I just could not find the time to start reading the manga. But now, we have the anime [subbed too] thanks to the mentioned subbing group.


ALSO Katekyo Hitman Reborn! XD The anime has started showing the Arcobaleno Arc WEEKS ago, so haha, go check that.. o.o I haven't seen it myself, but I heard that everything happening in the anime IS canon, according to Akira Amano. :D


Mangawise, reborn is stuck in the Choice game with Byakuran.. which they lost, of course. Ah, and Irie has finally revealed what everything was all about - the time travel shit, and that curious comment 25!Lambo said in the Varia arc. :D


Naruto.. well, Sai's said some more yaoi-image-inducing comments.. god, this kid will be the death of me someday.. saying stuff like, "Everytime I see Naruto I can feel the heat from his gut," ... things like that.. o.o But of course we have some classics, like Naruto saying, "Sasuke.. Where are you now? What are you doing? Are you thinking of me [Sakura and Kakashi]?"

Anime-wise, two weeks ago they showed Kakashi Gaiden.. :D Lalalalalala~~ <33333 It's -the Kakashi-childhood-Obito-Sharingan-rock-boulder-splat-eye-transplant-lalalalala arc. :D GO WATCH! [Because I haven't, and I need you to tell me how it it is!]


Bleach.. urk. Bleach is still Bleach, progressing very nice and slow. Hmm, although Soi Fon and that Vaizard-guy-whose-name-I-can't-be-bothered-to-remember-who-has-the-same-power-as-Orihime have curiously compatible [combine-able?!] bankai. O.O Go see, I command you! Although what I'd like to know is what's going on with Shinji and Aizen.. XDDD



And I think that's it for the updates? I'm in a little bit of a rush because I have to run to class in a few minutes.. so.. :D This Friday we have no classes so expect a little bit more. :D



OH! And new chapters for the NEW POT. :D I also already have the scanse for Nora Vol 1 ready for upload. Expect all that on Friday. :D

Bleach 364: Grinning Revengers

Last week we were left with that weird looking kid, whats-his-name-dun-know-dun-care, and that big thing the kid was leading into karakura-not-really town. And of course, instead for running for cover, or trying to get the upper hand by either attacking first or gathering to plan, the shinigami stand useless and gaping. Like it helped to gape. -shakes head-

Anyway, fox-face (argh, what was his name again? Komamura?) somewhat recognizes the thing (although the resemblance he sees is very sketchy, but you know how it is with manga). I don't suppose that knowing what the thing is will do anything for the Shinigami, although it did do something for the Arancar. OTL. GEEZ. Like I said, gain the upper hand. -shakes head- Poor Ukitake.

But I've got to hand it to that kid, he (? looks like a boy to me) has guts. -snigger- Yeah, bad pun, but I couldn't help it. Some try for UkitakexKyouraku, but it fails utterly. I wonder if Ukitatke is okay... ;A;

The kid, though, has weird powers. >D You'd have to read the chapter to see, although looking at him, no one would be able to tell for sure. As I suspected, the enemies are being revived (duh, this is Bleach. The enemies are giants and the protagonists are just mere specks of dust. But one way or another, the win at the end... weird), and even those who were certainly, irrevocably dead have risen once again.

God, Bleach is full of zombies.

-sigh- of course, the moment all the arancar come back to life, the biggest hurdle also comes back. Words will not do the last pages any justice, so just go and read. I beg you. Read and be amazed at how HOPELESSLY HOPELESS it is for the protagonists. They've totally lost. They are done.



BUT THEN, SHINJI CAME.


GODDAMNIT, AND ALL WILL BE WELL.


Damn you, Shinji, I've been waiting for you for 100000000000000++++++ chapters! THEY'RE HEEEEEEERE~ >D

Naruto 454: The Five Kages

Last week, we left with the Sand siblings! After having so many characters die after his own death and revival, we finally get a glimpse of Gaara again! But this week, we start with Iwagakure and their leader, the Tsuchikage.

The Tsuchikage reminds me of someone.. although I'm not sure who that someone is, orz. Someone from a game perhaps? Or DBZ? Not too sure, although you might remember. Go see the Tsuchikage and have a little laugh at his expense. He seems like one of those crazy old coots... and of course, I smell Naruto-bait. Hmmmm.. >D

I just noticed, though... if Sandaime were still Hokage, then at least two Kages would be balding (if not already bald) old geezers wearing funny fats and bringing along their cute jailbait apprentices. LOL, I smell lots of Naruto-bait here, hey. Is Kishimoto-sensei adding some more characters? Please don't tell me he's going to do a Bleach here, that would be really annoying. Although I also smell some Tsunade-rivalry, LOL! I wonder if that's the same technique, or if she really is that young...

OTL what is it with Naruto women and their men issues? It's either they love their men but the men are dead, or they're surrounded by men who want them but they don't like men at all! -shakes head- But I guess that makes it more interesting? Or maybe just crazy. Totally bat shit crazy. XD

I'm happy, though, that Kishi had the sense to include a dark-skinned Kyuubi-vessel. And a dark-skinned kage. And dark-skinned shinobi who kick ass. It's not that I'm implying any discrimination here, but I guess the only anime I've ever seen that many dark-skinned characters (who weren't extras, had real kick-ass powers and had very significant roles for the plot) is Gintama... which is not really saying something, since Gintama "has it all" so to speak.

But back to Naruto...

XD LOL, there are some more questionable Naruto images here, folks! Page 12.. god, page 12 rocks! >D Aaah, poor Naruto.. being dragged into the far off place and being prepared to be raped.. XD Kidding! But the scene is quite... >D Naruto, it's like you're inviting me to pair you up with just about everyone... specially Sasuke. Page 13 is also a key page for Naruto (specially SasuNaru) fans. And page 15.. page 15, we finally see just how much Naruto has grown and matured (and turned into a true blue masochist. Sai will be so proud..)


And what's this, Danzo has tracks to cover! Will Anko be killed? Next week has the answers, so we'll have to wait. In the meantime, why don't we enjoy looking back and misinterpreting Danzo words... I believe the exact quote is, "He might know about me and Orochimaru." I believe a simple >D is sufficient? >DDDDDD

Katekyo Hitman Reborn 248: The End of Genkishi

I was in the middle of an Adam Lambert interview when I remembered that I haven't read/done the KHR update. So being the good little fangirl I was, I clicked on the Onemanga shortcut in my browser and went to the new chapter. 

While waiting for the page to load, I went back to reading the interview. I finished two pages before remembering to go back to the new KHR chapter, and so I clicked on the KHR tab and --- WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT MARSHMALLOW BOY?!

Commencing eyetwitch.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is Byakuran. -twitch- I can't believe.. erm, okay, yes, I can. But-but-but-but-whimper-THAT'S BYAKURAN!

-shudder- For some insane reason it fits him. Really. It's weird. Because I don't want to like Byakuran, because I like what he's wearing, because I don't want to think Byakuran is hot, because I think what he's wearing is hot, because I want to hate Byakuran, because I really LOVE his tattered smexy clothes.. 

;A;

A-and for some reason, I keep thinking "Gokudera!" everytime I see this picture. Does anyone else think that this get up is something that our pretty boy Dera would wear? Certainly not Byakuran, but, DAMN, he looks good in those. XD

A-anyway, -cough- let's get writing about this new chapter, okay? And let's stop talking about this new Byakuran image.. -shudder-  I'd want Dera to dress like that, though...

So last week, Yama began to totally kick Genkishi's ass. This week we see the conclusion! XD Oh Yama, you've gotten so strong.. You have to tell us what Squalo did to turn you into such a superb fighter! XD

And Yama fans, we get to have a nice treat! Head to page three and look at the last row, first picture... Isn't Yama just cute and precious? (8059 fans, there's also a little something for us here, hey.. XD) Going back to Yama though.. isn't he just squishable? So cute and happy, gyaaah~  XD  So so so so cute! -pinches Yama's cheeks-  Ahahah, he's really like a little puppy, huh? : D

Kikyo.. eh?! What's this, my predictions are going a little off! And here I was, thinking it would be Dera facing the pretty blond guy with the sort-of-curly hair... What the hell is going on! Why did he just... O.O  Oh dear. Oh dear, this is bad... So this is what Byakuran is really like! o.o

This is really bad for Tsuna and the others... although I do feel bad for Genkishi. For him to end up like that after all that he's done... But I guess we already saw that coming. Genkishi, you have done your part well. But now we must move on... And apparently, my predictions are still correct, if just a little off with the timing. It's still Dera vs. Kikyo (or as the plan says, anyway), and Tuna-Yama vs. Target boy whose name I have forgotten.. XD

Only, that will have to wait until next week. =3=  Damn, Dera's going to be in deep shit next week! He's going to be facing cloud man! I wonder how he's going to fight.. ;A; and that weird ability! How is Gokudera going to fight that?

Good thing it's not Hibari facing him, then, since Hibari's a close combat type. Gokudera's a mid-range fighter, so he should be safe from Kikyo's attack; however, we never know if Kikyo has other kinds of destructive attacks up his sleeve - attacks tailored for midrange types. ;A; Oh Dera, please be careful! (Darn it, why does Dera have to be the one to face the hard opponent!?)

Ghost_07 44: Fate

The story thus far: Teito Klein, a boy with minimal recollection of his past, ran from the military after finding out that they were the cause of his "father's" death. Upon escaping to the normal world, he ends up in the Church, and is nursed back to health there. However, things are not going as well with the friend he left back in the military - Mikage, the same boy who helped him escape. After being interrogated by Ayanami (the man Teito is running away from), he is turned into a half-winged Kor and is sent to either retrieve Teito or kill him. Mikage is reunited with Teito, and after a few days, the inevitable happens. Mikage reveals that Ayanami gave him an ultimatum - either bring Teito to him, or his family. Mikage gives Teito the chance to escape, but Ayanami takes over his body and begins to hunt Teito down. 

Teito escapes Ayanami's clutches, but Mikage's life is sacrificed. He succeeds with the help of the seven ghosts (or at least three of them) and with the help of a strange device (alter-ego?) called the Eye of Michael. 

Teito decides to leave the Church, but Frau (bishop and incarnation of one of the seven ghosts, Zehel) stops him and urges him to take the bishop exam instead. Because of his lack in power, he reluctantly takes part in the exam, meanwhile making friends with a member of the Oak family (surprising because an Oak heir bullied him while he was still in the military academy). Hakuren Oak not-so-quickly becomes an important person to Teito, and they pass the Bishop exam together with flying colors. 

However, upon finishing the exam, Frau takes Teito to run and bolt from the Church since the military's men have come after him. They embark on a journey to recover Teito's lost memories in an attempt to discover how Teito can control the Eye of Michael (which he had already lost to Ayanami just before he and Frau escaped), what really happened to the priest who raised him (and consequently Verloren's body) and to find a way to avenge Mikage's death.

Now here is where things get a little blurry... Of what Teito can gather from his messed up memories, the priest he was with was collecting passes from the seven ghosts - you have to go to the houses which bear the name of the seven ghosts. The first in they got to was Castor's. I'll skip over this one so you have reason to read the chapters.. XD

The next one they got to was the Barsburg Empire (apparenlty, this was Teito's real home). Again, I'm skipping over this one so you have reason to read the chapter. This is where Teito will recover most of his memories - of his past life, of his parents, of that mysterious priest and of how he came to possess the Eye of Michael. Teito and Frau share some moments here, and Mikage has a lot of participation in plot development as well.

So for this chapter, Teito remembers something the priest told him - that if he were ever separated from the Eye of Michael, he still had a way to contact it. He uses that, and is able to stop that thing inside him from advancing too much. However, it is only for a short period of time, and he will have to depend on Frau to keep him safe for the time being.

I'm not too sure about how the next chapter will play, but the ending for this chapter does not bode well for Teito. I wonder if they'll be able to escape Ayanami's clutches once more.

And so that ends this week's set of updates! I wonder what next week has in store for us, fufufufu~  :D

Edit: Anyone here familiar with "Tayong Dalawa"? XD  I've always liked Coco Martin (Ramon), even when he was more known for his indie film roles. I first saw him in Masahista, and of course, because I am such a big yaoi fan, I started to look for his other gay-themed films.

I was not disappointed. The guy, even in those films, showed massive potential. Lots of talent. The kind that can't even be considered raw anymore; he's already evolved by himself, and his style has become very unique and distinctive. He has a different way of acting compared to other stars - just take Tayong Dalawa as an example. Jake and Gerald are more of the OA types (over acting, but then again, Gerald's face has only one mode anyway, so maybe OA isn't the right term) - they have to make these big gestures and have to raise their voices and "super-crunch" (or in Gerald's case, "perma-crunch") their faces in order to even make the scene just a little convincing.

Coco, though, has perfected the art of subdued acting - he never makes any over-the-top actions and simply conveys his feelings through small gestures. In my opinion, his eyes are the ones which allow him to do so. He has, what some people might call, a powerful stare - it feels like his eyes just bore into your head, like all of his emotions are written and can be readily read through those eyes. Expressive does not do those eyes justice.

Another part of Coco which allows him to use subdued acting is his "maamong mukha". Counterpart in English... I'm not sure if there's any, but the closest I can get is meek? Erm, for lack of better term, I guess he has what yaoi fangirls would call an "uke face". Yes, he's that cute. Having such a face, he is expected to act accordingly - like a cute, lost little uke... but then when you see him in Tayong Dalawa, you'd really get the shock of your life. XD  He isn't the type of person you'd expect to shout and rant and cuss in a very fluent manner. "Matigas siyang magmura," is the thought I want to convey. "Kaya niyang manakot gamit lang ang kanyang mga mata." (He can scare people even by just using his eyes.)

He can get mad, laugh, be evil and be cute and not give off a feeling that he's only forcing the feelings behind the actions. There has been a lot of good examples throughout the show; just a day ago, I remember that he laughed so heartedly during a scene with his grandmother. It wouldn't be so remarkable if it were just a simple laugh in a light and funny scene, but the laugh actually happens in between angst-emo-I'm-going-to-be-bad-and-kill-people-but-I-don't-really-want-to-be-bad scenes. It was just so amazing that he could still produce such a real-sounding laugh, and then just as abruptly as he started, suddenly go back to being serious and angst-ing and being the big bad boss everyone fears. 

The point is, I'm really impressed by this person, and I just wanted to relay to everyone that. I think it's good that he got Ramon's role in the series, because now that I think about it, I can't imagine anyone else doing Ramon and getting him right, they way Coco has. Yes, there are different styles to acting, but the thing is, there is also the concept of profiling. Coco's Ramon has all the qualities of what I imagined a real Ramon would have - this deep jealousy for his "better" brother, this confusing somewhat-resentment for his mother who seemingly gave his "better" brother more love and attention, this hatred for his real father who never wanted to know him, this envy for his "better" brother's kind father, this anxiety to keep striving harder and keep doing better in order to have that mother look at him and praise him like she does for his brother...

Ramon's character strikes me as the I-don't-want-to-be-bad-but-I'm-in-too-deep-to-back-out type, a character who had this idea fueled even further because of his family hang ups. I think Coco does a great job in trying to make the viewers see (and consequently understand) that no bad guy is a bad guy from the beginning - there is always a catalyst that provokes the character to turn bad - and that no person can be completely bad through and through. Coco's Ramon is a beautiful mix of a son wanting to make his mother happy, safe and proud; a brother wanting be the better one for a change; and simply a guy who turned bad because it was the only path he saw himself walking. He's awkward, he's crass, he's got no finesse whatsoever, but he's also a good son, grandson and brother, a dedicated admirer, and he's got too much conscience to be a bad-to-the-bones villain.

I've been trying to watch this show if just for Coco's Ramon. I suggest those who are into acting (actors and enthusiasts alike) to swallow their local tv bias and try to watch even just one episode. Try to observe the differences in style that the actors have - from Kim's never-ending waterworks, to Gerald's absolute perma-frown, to Jake's too confident too OA stints, to Alex's crude and shameless portrayal of today's "practical woman", to Coco's "barumbado" attitude. Just.. try. And see for yourselves the differences between an experienced actor, and an actor who can't make two separate faces for a smile and a frown. And then maybe you'd be able to appreciate local tv more, maybe even start to watch more of these so-called "jologs" tv series...

Or maybe not. I guess I'm only being honest to myself when I say that the only reason I can tolerate any of the bumbling idiotic messes the other inexperienced actors are making is that I get to see Coco's Ramon and Agot's Ingrid. They truly bring out the flavor in this otherwise "epic fail" drama.  : D

Updates:

My hand hurts. ;A;  The left one. I don't think it's anything serious; I'm guessing this has happened because I was leaning and using it to hold my upper body up. Imagine someone propping an elbow upon a window sill and leaning backwards on that arm. I was doing just that but with my hand and on the edge of a table. And now it hurts. ;A;

Anyway, I'll still be typing. D:  Because I'd feel bad not continuing with this blog. Again. ;;;

Bleach 363: 

And Ukitake's joined the fray! ;A; He saved Kyouraku's ass, but now, he's the one in trouble! Starrk has found out how Joushiro was able to produce a cero... and what was that about Kyouraku not being allowed to use his Bankai "where everyone can  see it?" (as quoted from whitey himself)

The Two Swords Duo get into a fight with Lazy-Ass-turned-Lazy-Ass-Cowboy-with-kick-ass-guns Starrk. As per usual with Bleach, there are more confusing shots of random things (like 1/3 of someone's coat in a 78 degree angle just to make the fans wonder that the hell they're seeing) than actual dialogue and plot development. Meaning, there was only a two-sentence worth of plot development in the whole 20 pages of this week's release. 

At least this week we get less of those confusing random shots and more of those shots which make at least some sense. Oh, and the extra screen time that Starrk, Kyouraku and Joushiro are getting helps a lot. :D

Sooo.. Kyouraku's not fighting alone anymore! The Duo are teaming up against Starrk and his girl-turned-gun fraccion. So it's basically a fair fight... UNTIL the big ass menos-looking-shadow appears. (And let's not forget the girl/guy arrancar who just showed up... gyah, more ambiguous characters D:)

Hopefully for next week's update we actually get a continuation for this side story and not just be drafted into someone else's story in another time and place (and dimension). Not that I wouldn't want to see what the heck happened to Yammy and the others (Renji, Rukia, Chad.. who am I forgetting?) or to Ichigo, Ishida and Inoue. Or to Soi Fon. Or to Yamamoto-taichou. Or to Toushiro. Or to Kira, Shuuhei, Matsumoto and Momo. Or to Unohana, Kenpachi, Mayuri and Byakuya. Or to Ikkaku and Yumichika. Or to THE FUCKING VAIZARDS THAT WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SINCE THE WHOLE FIGHT STARTED damnit I thought they were going to make Aizen pay?!

AND WHERE THE HELL ARE AIZEN, ICHIMARU AND TOUSEN anyway!?

Naruto 453: The Night Before the Five Kages Meet

Finally, someone's said it! Someone's actually gone and said it! XDDDD And it had to be that plant-guy-thing-whose-name-I-still-don't-know-even-till-now. He said it!

What did he say? THE TRUEST TRUTH and fuck my grammar skills. He said it! Sasuke's WEAKER than Naruto. >D

Well, actually his words were, "Naruto's stronger than Sasuke now."

And d'you guys know how Sasuke reacted to that?!

Do you know HOW?!

... >D  you'll have to go find and read the chapter to see. >D

.......... ah, and his name is Zetsu. ;;;  (I really wish this would stick in my memory. I keep forgetting this guy's name! I just don't know why.) He's very icky and gross though. Just see that weird ability. ;;;  Kishimoto's up to something again, I can just feel it.

And Sasuke reveals his S side! Ahahah, but I think we all already knew that? -shudder- So that does mean Naruto's an M? ;A;  I guess.. that's right. It's kind of obvious, what with his strange obsession with getting himself hurt by chasing Sasuke.

About sadist Sasuke though... yeah. This kid was saying that he "wanted to try something" on Tobi. Ahahaha, just go read. Really. Sasuke's starting to creep me out. 

But the bigger issue here: The meeting of the Five Kages! Right in the now destroyed Konoha! And we'll be seeing the newly-appointed Danzo, the Raikage, the Mizukage, the Tsuchikage and the Kazekage... MEANING Naruto boylet # ????? aka Gaara will be showing his emo raccoon face to the fans after a looooooooong while. XD

And there's no doubt that the other two will also be there... GYAH, this is turning into a big mess! How..? Because of Sasuke's new goal... which is to----

Katekyo Hitman Reborn Target 247: Rematch

And we have a very uke-ish Yama right from the start o.o

Last week I was left so amazed by Yama's transformation from this happy-go-lucky normal guy into this I'm-a-badass-mafia-hunk swordsman... ahaha, but of course, in true Yama style, my dreams have once again bee shattered to pieces. He's showing that face. THAT face, that uke face. To Genkishi. While saying, "I'm all ready now, Genkishi."   -_____-  

Seriously Yama, you want to beat the guy, not woo him. ;;;

Anyway, my question from last week has been answered! Genkishi can still use his Hell Ring, and poor old Yama-uke doesn't have a clue! But then again, he does have his upgraded shoujo-shoujo Magic-Knights-Rayearth-look-alike sword thing to fight the bad skeleton man with... assuming that he doesn't want to take bones over there to bed, of course. ;;

-laugh-  Kidding aside, Genkishi has issues. Real issues. ;;; His mind's been poisoned by Byakuran's kira kira existence, lol. But anyway, Genkishi reveals that it was because of the power of Tuna's eyes that he wasn't able to fight at his real strength back then. XD Good job, Tuna-eyes! Maybe we can turn you into an equip-type item someday, since you're so useful. ;;;

But seriously, this shoujo-thing going on with Yama has to stop. It's really creepy. For more information, please refer to the 4th panel in page 7. Yes, that big one, right below the Basil/Reborn ones... Yes, the one where he's doing that to his sword... Ugh, Yama.. you've been watching too much shoujo anime. Seriously. Wings. And glowing sword. And that WINK. And that UKE FACE. ---> trying to hang herself from the roof of her house

The only thing missing now is a cheesy-girly-I'm-not-going-to-give-up-so-kyaaaah-you-monster background music/SFX. Which I'm actually quite afraid of, since they just might do that in the anime version. o.o

Verdict for this week's release: Kyaaaah, Yama's really cool~  (/*3*)/   And it seems like this battle's over... but if Tuna was able to beat his enemy easily, and Yama was able to get his revenge this fast... does that mean... Gokudera's in for a beating!? ;A;  Oh dear. Oh dear dear dear. Oh dear, this is really bad. REALLY BAD. I've got this sinking feeling in my chest that Gokudera's going to be in a lot of trouble.. and pain. It seems like his opponent is going to be the strongest they've fought so far... I mean, biases aside, it's always the good-looking ones who are powerful. Just.. ;A;  I fell bad. Sick, even. Gokudera's going to get hurt. I can just feel it.

Sasuke started this in the Shippuden Movie 2: Kizuna with his cowboys music. And now, even Bleach's Stark is doing it! ;A; Really, ftw people. He even has guns. ;;;

Ironically, it's the cute little girl Espada who turns into Stark's weapons. Erm. Yes. The girl turns into two guns. I'm not an expert or anything (actually I don't know a thing), but aren't those magnums...? Or whatever they're called, those guns with the big ass barrels... the ones they used to use in the wild west. Or so I've read. 

Anyway, Stark is about the least cool cowboy person ever. XD  I mean, just look at him argue with a gun. If I were his opponent, I would have landed a killing hit already before he even got to the part where he was trying to tell which end of the gun was his subordinate's head.

But of course, Kyoraku does just that. They fight, and just as we all have already predicted, the fight will continue up to the next chapter. I wonder though, what happened to Soi Fon and her opponent..?

Although one great point about this is the endless innuendo. :D

Naruto - Closing in on Danzo

Last chapter we found out that Danzo has been chosen as Tsunade's replacement by the council of idiots. Er, elders. So he's now that Rokudaime, instead of Kakashi (who has nominated first and almost became the Hokage if not for Danzo's self nomination). Problem is, he's stated that Sasuke be killed as punishment for being a missing nin.

Of course Naruto's not going to approve that... hm, conflict, conflict. It doesn't help that Killer Bee's subordinates have reached Konoha - of course they want to take revenge for their boss. Meaning, they're willing to punish the one who took KB away - Sasuke. AND IT DOESN'T HELP either that idiot snake boi is finally coming back to Konoha...

Ah, but more than the plot are the silly dialogues! So much fan service. Let's read between the lines, shall we?

Naruto [to Kakashi]: I won't let him lay a finger on Sasuke! [possessive uke much?]

Kakashi [to Naruto]: That's why Danzo wants to keep you [in the village]. You'll be playing right into his hands. [Ahaha, I knew it! He's also a perverted old man! No hokage has ever been not perverted! XD]

Danzo: .. Keep an eye on Naruto.

Sai: What do you plan to do to Naruto..?

Danzo:  .   .   .

[demmit Naruto, Sasuke better hurry cause the semes are all flocking to you.. >D]

Random Killer Bee subordinate number one: Tell me everything you know about Sasuke! [HE'S A FUCKING FRUITY COWBOY.]

Okay, stop fanservice, hello battle! XD  Naruto gets into a fight with the KB Squad! On par? Heck yeah! Na-chan's probably tired, but he's still got the moves! And of course, they show off their teamwork - Sai, Naruto and Sakura (who is, surprisingly this time, rendered useless).

Anyway, when they finally recover their brain cells and remember how to talk like semi-civilized humans (cue: by shouting at each other like monkeys on different treetops), the two reveal that Sasuke has indeed joined Akatsuki and has been doing Akatsuki's dirty work, aka trying (and failing quite miserably) to capture Killer Bee. 

So, chapter ends with more confusion on Naruto's part. Poor abandoned uke. -pats imaginary Naruto's back- Don't worry, you'll see your evil seme soon enough. Although I wouldn't know if that's a bad or a good thing... 

Poor Naruto... What are you going to do if Sasuke comes and destroys the Konoha that you love? Not that he'd have a lot left to destroy, but you know what I mean. How are you going to keep your promise? (And what of that weird thing Itachi gave you through the bird feeding?)

Katekyo Hitman Reborn 246 - Yamamoto's Vongola Box

Yama kicks ass for real GYAH.

Jirou and Kojirou. ;;;; why didn't I guess those, orz. Although I've heard a dog being named Jirou, I have yet to hear a sparrow being called Kojirou... Anyway, I do have one big question for both Squalo and Yamamoto... JUST WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS DO IN THAT "TRAINING"!?  Yamamoto was cool already, but now he's deadly awesome. If I wasn't convinced that Yama hasn't changed because of the animal naming (and the super Yamayama animal loveage), I would have said that Squalo did something VERY drastic to our resident Vongola Rain Guardian... >D

Ah, but with that said, chapter analysis! Yama faces off with Genkishi for the second time around, but this time, Yama seems to have the upper hand! I'm not really clear if Tsuna was able to destroy Genkishi's Hell Ring, but if he was, then Yama should have no problem defeating slug boy. However, if the ring hasn't been destroyed, things just might get messy. Although I have no doubt that Yama will win. I mean, he already lost once, right? He wouldn't lose again, specially not against the same opponent.

Although it gets me a little confused just how he manages to handle, much more use, effectively three swords with one hand... and another bigger, longer one in another hand. I believe he uses his left hand for the smaller ones? I didn't know Yama was somehow ambidextrous.. Haha, I mean, sure you can use your left hand to catch things, or to throw the Dera-version bombs even (not making fun of Dera or belittling him, of course), but sword handling requires a lot of wrist work. Not to mention that Yama mainly uses his fingers to flip the swords around.. he has to have a great amount of control over his left hand.

Squalo wasn't too impressed with Yama's dog XD. Or the sparrow XD. Obviously it was because Yama couldn't help but be in a minna-suki-daze mode when he was talking about their names... in the middle of a battle, no less! -laughs-  Sometimes I pity Squalo. Specially when he's dealing with the idiot boss or the idiot successor.. XD

I can't wait for Yama to finish this battle! And not only because I want to see how Dera's doing, but because I really want to see what he meant by "still having lots more to show" Genkishi. XD  Oh Squalo, what the F have you done...? XDDD

Speaking of Dera... I'm a little curious as to Uri's state. When they were showing the contents of the Vongola Boxes, it was Uri (with something, flames maybe, on the top of her head) they were showing as Dera's box. And of course, we have the dog for Yama (Jirou). But then, in this last chapters, it was discovered that the Vongola Box animals can take the shape of a thing, in Tsuna's case, Vongola Primo's cape. For Yama though, it wasn't Jirou that transformed into a thing of the 1st generation Rain Guardian - it was Kojirou, the sparrow, which combined with the bokuto and turned into this kick-ass shining shining rain sword whoot. ;;;  So I'm just a bit confused. 

And what about Deraaaa? Of course I have to ask about Dera, he's my favorite character! And how will Lambo fight at all!? ;A;  This is just too sad, Lambo would be crushed! Well.. then again, he has that cow thing.. XD Or should I call it a Thunder Bull? Wonder what happened with Dera's training with Ryohei and Lambo...

And just to be clear... I thought Dera had five attributes? Storm, Rain, Cloud, Thunder and Sun. I'm pretty sure Bianchi mentioned this (even Gamma..?) to Dera when he was still trying to decipher just how Systema CAI worked. So then why doesn't he have a Rain ring..? I'm pretty sure he doesn't.. Ugh, where have I seen that before.. he was flashing his hands, both of them, and there were only four rings, Vongola Storm ring already included. I was pretty sure it was the rain ring that was missing... ;A;  But he uses them in his shield, right? Aaaargh, confusing!

Just a random thought though: Byakuran could give Gin-chan a run for his money with this sweets addiction thing.. XD And the hair. Sorry, Gin-chan, but Byakuran's hair is way cooler than yours. Although you have a more manly voice, in my opinion. :D

I wanted to post more, but I feel really tired somehow. There are two new chapters for the New Prince of Tennis. Eiji beats Oishi in a singles match, and Inui is abandoned by his cute ukes (wait, does Renji count as an uke?). Kaidoh has switched from Inui uke to Tezuka uke... urk. The Fuji brothers are going to battle it out sometime in the near future, but the real highlight is the Yukimura-Sanada match up coming in the next chapter. O.O  I wonder how that'd play out.

Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom Volumes three and four, yatta! I have them, I have them, I'm so happy! The next volume is coming out in July I think... or was it June..? Anyway it doesn't matter. It's still not available here locally, so I'd have to wait for it. It's the same for Vassalord, since the next volume (three) is still not available here. I've already place my order for volume two.. waiting waiting... it's not much fun. ;A;

I plan on looking for the Bloody Monday manga, since there are already 11 volumes of it out. I wonder if that's only the Japanese version, or if it goes for the translated version as well... Who's translating them, anyway? Viz Media..? -sigh-   It's really hard to have manga in volumes in this country. Specially the internationally-not-so-popular ones. 

I had technical writing class today. I was a bit nervous, since I've always done really bad in TW. And I thought I was going to fail again today because my paper was the one on top of the pile --- meaning, the professor had been looking at that paper last. My face was O...O the whole time she had that stack in her hand... good thing I didn't get any remarks. Not that she would have mentioned the names, but I would have recognized the phrases anyway.

Still trying to catch up with the Bloody Monday series. The new-series syndrome hasn't worn off yet. I hope it lasts. I wouldn't want to get tired of this series mid-way. Too much effort wasted. The same goes for 07_Ghost, although I doubt I'd ever get tired of it. I mean, it has yaoi written all over it! But then again, I did get tired of Junjou Romantica at one point...

Speaking of JR, I just finished watching season two! Late, yes I know, but I couldn't do more than sneak it in my busy schedule while I'm traveling from home to uni and back. My favorite is still Egoist, Nowaki and Hiroki. Which is quite funny, since Hiroki is Renji Abarai's seiyuu, and Nowaki is Nnoitora's (Bleach). T____T  So I keep imagining the two like that, and voila! Fascination galore while trying to keep my face from smirking in that odd yaoi fangirl way while trying to breath inside a heavily-congested jeepney.

I heard that the remake of Ai no Kusabi is really going to be released this 2009! Not sure who has been casted as Blondie, since the original one died (god bless his yaoi-tainted soul),  but I wish they'd cast Seki Toshihiko again as Riki. :D  He's my first favorite seiyuu after all.

I've also been scouring for Takanaga Hinako, Kazuhiko Mishima and Ougi (Gah, I forgot her whole name) mangas. For those unfamiliar, they are the creators of Bukiyo na Silent, Love Neco and The Tyrant Who Fell in Love (Japanese name, I forgot you..) respectively.  Of course, I spent more time looking for the Mishima ones, since I love her plot lines the best. Simple, but out of the ordinary. More often than not they're about teacher-student boi raburabu, and it's just so fun to watch the older men squirm and succumb to their younger semes.

Ougi, though, has more intricate plot lines, and this is what I like about her. Although comparing her style with Tyrant and ones which came earlier, I'd say there was minimal improvement. Not that the style needs improvement; I mean, there was little change in her art. I guess the characters just became sharper somewhat.. and less "Fushigi Yuugi", for lack of better term. XD

Hinako has me because of the cuteness. Utter cuteness. XD 

XD After this, I'd probably go back to stalking Bohra (did I even get that right? forgot the first name again... ;A;) and some random artist. And maybe Nalis for their 8059 doujinshi. Aah, 8059. Super ultimate pairing MAX.

Speaking of Reborn, Reborn Carnival (ReboCon) 2009 is out on nicodouga. XD  Unintentional 8059 fanservice in the first five minutes, I tell you! And 33 kept on touching 69 during their duet, it was so weird yet so fitting! I never realized just how tall Iida was before he was paired up with Kiuchi-san. I mean, Kiuchi is a very very very very very large man, by Asian standards. I guess I just didn't notice that Iida was almost as tall as he was because Iida's very thin... and well, Kiuchi san has a "real" man's body. ;;;

Ah, more about the rebocon when I finish watching it. :D

Yes, so after more than two months of inactivity, I'm back! Actually, I got busy and then got sick and then got busy again in the whole span of that two months of inactivity, so I wasn't even able to update once a week. So sorry.. ;;;

But I haven't been slacking off fandom-wise, of course! In the span of my absence, I've already watched the latest Naruto Movie, Kizuna. And ftw, there is cowboy Sasuke there, people. COWBOY. O.O

Aside from cowboy Sasuke, Naruto gains another fangirl. XD  Good for Naruto, right? Since things aren't looking too good for him in the manga... 

And from Bleach! Well, I haven't seen the latest movie yet (is it out already?), but I'll be posting something about that when I do.

Eyeshield 21 has ended! The last chapter was 333, a good number to stop. It was.. well, unlike most shounen types, it doesn't make you cry in that I'm-inspired-and-I'm-manly-but-this-youthful-ending-just-makes-me-cry way... I actually found the ending very funny, as I did with the entire series. Good work, ES21! We'll really miss you! If it weren't for this manga, I would have never ventured into the Reborn fandom or Gintama.

Speaking of Reborn, there has been a lot of developments! Crazy developments, whoa. Tsuna's and Yamamoto's box animals have been revealed, and they're already fighting with the REAL Six Wreaths of the Millefiore. Anime-wise, starting later today, they will be featuring the Arcobaleno arc, so be sure to read and watch. Amano-sensei said that the anime version of the Arcobaleno arc will be CANON. I wonder how they're going to pull it off...

Gintama has reached 160+ episodes! WHOOO! They're already into their fourth year, so lets support Gintama and buy those pretty merchandise! We wouldn't want them to be pulled off the air mid-year, would we? Manga-wise, there has been new development regarding Yoshiwara. There's going to be another Yoshiwara-related arc, focusing on Tsukuyo this time. Of course Gin saves the day... but there will be great surprises concerning his sensei... XD

Regarding that... I think Gin is an orphan. Perhaps he never met his parents, and he has lived all his childhood like a scavenger. It would only make sense... what with that image from that chapter... >D  If you want to know what I'm talking about, head over the mangahelpers and look up the latest translations of Gintama.

FMA Brotherhood is here! Although I haven't actually seen more than just the trailers. Is it good? Can anyone tell me? But of course, I'd still probably watch it. After all, it is FMA. (And I really can't get enough of Ed XD)

I've recently bought an Elizabeth pillow! It's very comfy! I'll post pics later. :D

I'm already in third year this year. Gah. I'm a little scared of growing up.. it all seems too fast. But then, I also want to get a job already, because I want to be able to afford the things I want. Selfish reason, yes, but I want to feel a little bit more independent. If I have to crawl through shit to get to that, I would. Hardships just make the end result feel even better.

I've also recently purchased an mp5 player. What's an mp5? Well, it's the same as an mp4 player, only there's an added file type that it can play. It can play .rm and .rmvb files, so it's really great, since I almost get all of my video downloads from RealityLapse. Also, Real Media files take smaller space, so I can store more.

My phone (which turned three years old this May) gave me a big surprise just the other day. According to its manual, the maximum capacity of flash storage (memory card) it can support is only up to 2GB. But then, crazy me tried to play songs with it stored in an 8GB mem card. I think the card was 80-90% full (about 6-7GB), so it was waaaay over the cited maximum memory. I thought the phone was going to crash, but... it actually worked! It played the files without crashing - although it did take a few seconds more than usual to load the first file.

So the phone is an LG KU250. It's an old-ish model, and 8GB mem cards for phones weren't that popular when the phone first came out. It was actually already top of the line back then when it came out with 2GB mem capacity. So it was a big surprise for me when I found out that it can hold up to 8GB. I wanted to try out 16GB, but I think that would be a bit too much.

Anyway, about the mp5. Internal capacity is 4GB, but is expandable up to something.. I'm not sure. The manual said it could only be expandable up to 2GB, but I'm actually using another 8GB mem card with it. And it plays. Without crashing. Again, I want to test a 16GB, and I do think it can support a mem card with that big capacity, but I have no mroe money to buy a 16GB mem card. It costs a lot. ;A;

On to other news, D. Gray Man is on hiatus again! Last time it was because of Hoshino-sensei's health... this time around, s/he (is Hoshino-sensei a guy? Sorry;;;) is being sued for copying some other sensei's work! The other party involved is none other than Death Note's Obata. (Or Ohba. I'm not sure if it's the artist or the writer... sorry..) So DGM fans, we're going to have to wait again to find out what happens to Allen and his inner Noah... ;;; 

I really hope it doesn't get discontinued.

Anyway, moving on! I've picked up to relatively new series! First one is 07_ghost; both anime and manga versions are available online. Onemanga and RealityLapse, please. Dattebayo Subs is doing the anime, kudos!

It's somewhat complicated, and I'm afraid I won't do it justice if I tried to explain the plot. But it's about this kid, Teito Klein, a boy who has no memories of his past and is a member of the Army. But after a certain incident, he recovers some of his memories - realizing that one of the army bosses killed someone important to him when he was still a child. He leaves the army and ends up hiding in the church, still trying to rediscover all of his past. While there, he stumbles upon a great secret concerning a thousand year old legend of evil death gods and fallen angels... and further on, he finds out that he was involved in a war of empires in the past, and that his existence could very well incite another war that would threaten to destroy the entire world.

Well.. it's not exactly that. I left a lot of details out because I didn't want to spoil anything. Anime version has already more than 10 episodes out. Manga version has up to chapter 38. Try it out, it's quite fun. Although the art is shoujo, the plot somewhat shoujo, the seiyuu are very kyaaah-worthy. We have Suwabe-san voicing one of the major characters here... and I think the one voicing Teito is Wolfram's seiyuu?

Second series is Bloody Monday, which I just picked up exactly 12 hours ago. :D  It's about Fujimura Takagi, a middle schooler (but then it says in another site that he's in high school, I don't know which is official) who is the son of a secret agent. He seems like a normal kid, but what everyone doesn't know is that he's a super genius when it comes to computers - he's actually a famous hacker called "Falcon" who exposes the crimes of illusive criminals by hacking into their computers and plundering their secrets. >D

What happens is that he and his father encounter an organized crime organization bigger than what they can handle... and they don't even know that two years prior, they were already being incorporated as major players in a cleverly planned mass massacre.

I forgot how I ended up with this one... I think I was browsing something.. looking for something Gintama related when I stumbled upon this.. AH! Right, I remember now! There was an update regarding the latest best selling manga poll. Of course the BIG3 are on top (Naruto, One Piece and Bleach), followed by a manga I couldn't be bothered to read up on, then I think it was Reborn already..? Or was it Gintama, I'm not sure, but I specifically remember Bloody Monday being listed in the top ten. It got me curious, as there were only three titles in the top ten that I wasn't familiar with. So I checked them all out, one was as I've already mentioned before, not worth mentioning (SHOUJO). Two was.. well, it wasn't enticing enough for me. But the third got me hooked even just with the summary. 

So I looked it up and found that there was a manga version up in Onemanga. I've been reading it since last night, and WHOA. XDDDD GREAT!

I find it interesting that although the protagonist is a genius, he's also naive. Or stupid. Too trusting! -shakes head-  It's probably one of the characteristics I like most about him. He's got the brains, yes, but he acts like a real kid. XD

Of course, there are slashy characters. There's his guy best friend, the only person other than his dad to know that he's the famous hacker. But then, there's also a tsundere-like girl character who likes him and is also his childhood friend. And of course, he has a sister who has a crush on his best friend (and vice versa, I think), so my yaoi dreams have already been crushed to death even before they had a chance to start. Anyway, I don't think there'd be time for any lovey-dovey coupley stuff with this one, since the pace is fast. That, and you'd really get distracted by the boobs. ;;;

Man-target manga? Definitely. For girls? Only those who like things like I do. The suspense-action-scifi-thriller-bloody-gore parts make up for the lack of yaoi. >D  It may sound surprising, but I do like a lot of things outside yaoi. I just prefer it over everything else. >D

Other other other news: I met up with a new friend over the summer. It was one of those rare days that I didn't have much to do, and I wasn't sick. We met up in Greenbelt and had lunch somewhere near SM. She's also a KHR fan, and a yaoi one at that. She was the one who introduced 07_ghost to me, and I'd really want to thank her. XD  Also, I pair her with Dino from Reborn, just because I like teasing her. Chumee! -waves- HEEEEEY! XD  Not that you're going to read this, but... :D

Also, a friend of mine has shifted from OrCom to Community Nutrition in UP Diliman. I was sad for a while because she was a dear friend, and I would have wanted her to stay. But she wants to fulfill her dreams, and shifting is the way to go. I hope she's doing well there. Friend, good luck and good bye. We'll see each other again, for sure. 

Classes! I have a weird schedule, but I brought it upon myself. I have classes on Saturdays! Gah. I hope this doesn't mean I'd be slacking off with the updates again. I'll try to be more diligent with this. YOSH.

Anyway, Naruto kicks ass this week again! Whooo! He uses up the sage chakra, but he's still able to finish Pain with the move Jiraiya taught him. Last week we saw him talk to the 4th Hokage, and the guy left him with the most cryptic message ever: You can do it, I believe in you, blah blah blah.. : D

Naruto pulls through with his favorite techniques, though. And we can remember that last week he was already able to locate the real location of Pain. : O Does this mean Pain's end is near? : O

Next week's release can't come soon enough, XD

What are the other going to do about Ichigo? D: Actually, Ishida's already doing something, although I don't think it's very wise of him.. [see page 12]. It makes for a very hot IchiIshi moment though, right? :D

Oh I miss Hiruma. Lately I haven't been paying attention to him, D: I've been so caught up with Gin-chan and Gokudera and Naruto and Ishida.. D: I feel like I've betrayed him! : O

SO I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the cover page was the ever devlish Hiruma. YA-HA!

So anyway, I missed last week's release, but basically what happened was that Sena and Panther had a show down and Panther won. D: Sena used all the tricks he knew, but Panther just was too good for him. Sena somewhat loses heart, but Shin.. well, Shin's about to do something I think.

And by the end of last week's release, Agon and Gaou have already teamed up in order to bring both Clifford and Mr. Don down. Ohohohoho, this unlikely pair... I wonder what's going to happen!

This week's release actually starts off with just that, Gaou vs. Mr. Don. Ugh. Ah, but nothing really happens as first, Sena just almost gets crushed like a roach by Don. More talk about the Delta dynamite, but the real first star we see in this week's release is Musashi and his super kick. Whoooo awesome, old man! Hiruma looks really proud, ohohoho~

Agon and Gaou keep trying to team up against Don, but they fail. Meanwhile, the Shin-Panther showdown begins! Shin knows that Panther has the speed advantage, but Panther also knows that Shin has the strength advantage. Considering this, they choose their best techniques...

And the winner is ...

Panther. : D

Oh dear. Oh dear dear dear. Even Shin can't stop Panther. D: What's Sena going to do? What's Hiruma going to do? D: Come to think of it, that NASA guy's right. Updates:

My internet died on me a few days ago. My ISP said they were doing some revamp-maintenance thing, so I just had to wait. I had my doubts since I had just also reformatted my laptop - and I was thinking that it was because of that reformatting that the settings had gone haywire.

And so... I've had no internet connection for the past week. Exactly a week today, actually. Haha, so that makes it six days then. Still, that's the longest I've gone without internet use for six years now. And to think I had to miss the Naruto release date because of it. D:

On a lighter note, my test paper got lost and was never checked by one of my professors, so now I have to retake the exam. Some of my friends advised me to go to the dean and complain, but I was thinking of just going through the retake. Too much hassle on my part if I go to the dean; I don't really have the time to spare. Besides, I'd be able to prepare for the exam this time around, since I was totally unprepared the last time. Unfair to the others, yes. But they don't have to retake an exam, do they?

It's baaaaaaaaack~ XDDDD

After a long wait, the manga is finally back, guys! XD This is so cool.. I know we've all been waiting for the manga to come back, and finally, here it is! XD

So last time, we were left with a newly discovered Exorcist, Link, who was turned into a doll, Allen battling a Level 4, Kanda and Marie battling another Level 4 (with Marie losing two fingers), and with everything seeming so hopeless. This release give us new hope, as we learn just how powerful Timothy's powers really are...

Divine Possession - what Timothy calls his innocence. You have to see it, it's incredible. I wonder if they'd ever have to animate this one.. would be so cool if they did. XD So the kid uses his Innocence to possess the Akuma, and voila! A new personality appears! But this new personality kind of looks like an older version of Timothy, lol... <3>

But back to the story... so Timothy finally activates his Innocence properly, and it eats [?] the Akuma's souls... I don't really get what his Innocence is doing aside from possessing the Akuma's bodies... it looks really weird, but I figured it was indeed eating the Akuma souls... : | That's some nasty Innocence you've got there, kid. : |

His Innocence actually reminds me of Cross'. Remember Chomesuke? He was controlling her as well, but it was in a different league from Timothy's. Oh well, if Cross was still around I bet he would be Tim's mentor - which is a bad thing, 'coz we all know what Cross is like to his loving students, right? XD

Anyway, Tim finally gets his act together and decides that he's going to use his Innocence to fight off the Akuma. Fufufu~ I can't wait to see this kid in battle! <3>

This week we see Rukia in battle! After a long while, we finally get a glimpse of her, lol. But she's not the focus, of course. Focus is still on Ichigo and Ulquiorra, and now they've taken things to another level. Literally, seeing as they've taken the fight out of Menos Noches. 

Ulquiorra finally releases his real powers! How's Ichigo going to cope? [wfth, Ulqui looks like a demented angel-bat thing, what with his white body and and black wings. : |]

Yes, wings. Our one and only Cuatro has sprouted wings. : | And I though one Pain turning into a frog statue was all the weirdness I was going to see for this week. : |  And pffft! Is that a repeat of the Sasuke-Naruto scene, the one where Sasuke holds a katana to Naruto's throat after not seeing each other for three years? I'm referring to page 16, people! GO SEE. Anyway, last week we were left with the Vongola boxes. What the hell those boxes are, we weren't really given a clue. But this week the Varia and Vongola finally contact each other [and wtfh, Yama is in his Squalo-fanboy mode. : |]. Another lol moment when Xanxus beaned Squalo on the head with the rock, LOL. XDDDDDD Ah, but we shouldn't be laughing at the Boss... [woah, the Boss is so handsome, fufufu...]

So no real answers as to what the boxes contain. Not that I was expecting anything to be revealed, really. : | It's annoying that way, you know, having things drag on and on and on. Wish they'd just get to the point sometimes... 

Anywho, I noticed something in the two-page spread, pages 16-17. Is it me, or are 59 and 80 just a tad bit too close to each other? XD LOL, wish it's not just me. :3

No smart ass comments this week. Just got back from an interview. I wasn't the one who was interviewed, though. I was one of the people conducting the interview... :3

It was fun, I guess. If you can count being stuck in the rain without an umbrella while carrying a 50kg laptop looking like a harassed harlot with sticky messy hair and wet armpits. Yeah. Great image. [Oh, and don't forget the part about trying to eat a slice of pizza and failing miserably by letting the toppings fall off and inside my polo shirt. With the wet armpits. And did I mention that the wet armpits showed very clearly and nicely?]

Thank god that happened when I was already going home. :|

But of course, it doesn't help that one of the guards here is hitting on me. Every single time I pass by the gates. All I did was act nice and friendly, and the next thing I knew, he was already shaking my hand and telling me how beautiful I was and how nice I was and wouldIconsidergoingoutwithhimsometime. Never mind that I probably looked as harassed that day he said that as I did just a few moments ago. Never mind that he's probably 10-15 years older than I am, never mind that I'm still a minor, that he can go to jail for harassment. Never mind that I practically have no idea how to deal with that, coz' seriously, wtfh. I want to say I'm not interested, and I would, really, but he's... just.. so.. fucking... weird. -shudder- I kind of wonder what he'd do if I ever blow him off. Kind of scared, actually. How the hell am I going to avoid him form now on? He's the one always guarding the gates to the village, for fuck's sake.

ANYWAY, enough about that guy. I seriously don't know why I'm even bothering to talk about him right now. So much to say about this week's releases, so little time [since I still have a pounding headache, something that's been going on continuously for a few days now]. So let's get started? :3


Naruto: 434

Holy shit, Naruto's in trouble.


So last week Naruto was able to take down five Pains, leaving only two for this week. However, it seems that the main Pain's powers have returned. Naruto continues to fight, but something terrible has happened. He's been captured! :O And what's this? Is it true that the nine-tailed beast has been captured?! Will Naruto be taken to the Akatsuki hide-out?! What's going to happen next?!


Oh yes, I've been very high because of thie release. What's Naruto supposed to do, damnit! He's blacked out because Pain sucked his Sage chakra... damn bastard. Will we finally see what Sasuke's going to do? [And what the hell, we've forgotten all about Killer Bee... Is Hawk still trying to track him down?]

Last week we finally got to see a glimpse of Ishida. He looked so damn cool. :3

Ichigo should be thankful he showed up. At least it's one more enemy down, right? And Mala Suerte means Bad Luck btw. This is what Ishida says in the chapter cover page [page 4]. :3 Aaah, Ichigo really needs more smart people in his team, ne? He should really be thankful that Quincy-boi is in his side... That, and page 6 and 7 really make me a happy IchiIshi fangirl. :3

[And it really makes me wish that Hime would just disappear. Not die, since everything they've wanted to accomplish would just be in vain. Just simply disappear for a few moments, just enough for my fandom to talk to each other without the conversation being about saving her or protecting her... D:]


More Ichi-Ulqui battle scenes. Though it does comfort me that Ichigo isn't holding back anymore. I'd like to think it's because of Ishida's presence, but of course that would be stupid. Anyway, he's now able to fight on par with Ulqui. But I guess that's not good enough, seeing as he has to be better than Ulqui to actually win. And of course, the next chapter's not going to be exciting if Ulqui didn't have something up his sleeve. :|


[Sidenote: Ishida's clothes are fixed. Wonder if that's the reason why he took so long... hmmm...]

Xanxus defeats the enemy! Hooray for Xanxus, lolz. Luss isn's dead, apparently. So is Levi. Squalo's as fab as always, Bel and Fran are still alive. The Varia are successful in fighting off the Millefiore!

Or so we thought.

Byakuran shows himself! Apparently it's not over yet. Irie's betrayal has been discovered [rather, it's been discovered that Byakuran knew all along], and the real 6 Funeral Wreaths have been introduced! What's going to happen to our guardians now that they've met their real opponents!?

Honestly, the TYL!guardians should just be revived and be given the Vongola rings. I don't think that the non-tyl ones can fight them off, moreover actually win. The older ones have more experience, anywa... Shou-chan should think quick!

Wonder what their names are, really. They seem so cool... :3 Specially the one in the far left, the one with the long hair. Wonder if he's going to be Gokudera's enemy... :3 [But with Gokudera's luck, I bet he gets the one who looks like Shamal... :|]

[sidenote: Did anyone else notice that Ryohei's the only one who hasn't been summoned to the future yet? Oh, and the baseball-idiot-who-loves-hitting-himself-on-walls-literally is finally awake... :3]

Which reminds me, has anyone seen TYL!Basil? No? Haven't, either... wonder if he's going to show up soon?

So this week: Byakuran explains things. Which is weird, since the longest I've ever seen Byakuran talk was when he was fighting with Mukuro. Which wasn't very long at all, mind you.

Anyway, so Byakuran explains what he did when he chose the "real" mare ring holders. I keep having this sinking feeling in my gut that Byakuran brainwashed these people, like what he did with Uni. Which makes me wonder where Uni is, really. Or if she were ever brainwashed in the first place. Or if I'm even making any sense at all.

But that's not really the point. The point is that this first guy Byakuran talks about is fucking crazy. And he's supposed to be the Storm Guardian, I think? Well, I'm not really sure, but wtfh, he bathes in lava. Which is NOT FUCKING POSSIBLE. :|

So the Vongola have new, tougher enemies. Enemies who have 5000-something subordinates. Which is, again, fucking crazy, since Vongola has about nothing now except for the Varia team and Tsuna's. Which is like having a ratio of 350:1 in favor of Millefiore. Which is, of course, not good. At all. :|

But Byakuran's given them 10 days to get their act together [thank god he's not making them fight asap]... So all's not lost. The Guardians have all been gathered [Yay, Ryohei's finally there], Yamamoto's finally awake from his wall-induced coma [and was that an 8059 moment in page15? XD], the Vongola rings are finally comeplete. Now if they can all just make some strategies on how to win their battles... D>

And of course, Irie reveals "the ultimate weapons". XD

Thanks to a certain someone, the Gaou-Don showdown will have to wait until the official match. And just as the bets were flowing in, I'd say... XD On the other hand, Sena's time on the 40m dash is.. WHAT?! That can't be right! But it is! :O But of course, the spotlight isn't on Sena this week. It's on Agon and Gaou, and there's a big reason why they're the focus. : |

Sometimes I really admire Agon. Sometimes I just want to hit him with a kendo stick. And sometimes.. sometimes..

Sometimes I actually pity the guy. : |

Like in this chapter. Aw, poor kid. He is so fucked up. Gaou is so fucked up. The Japanese team is so fucked up. There's no way they're going to win now. Oh god.

I hope it's not Hiruma who suffers for this. D>

Nora: Scans update

So a friend of mine [nashi_kanata] has offered to clean the scans for me. Okay, not exactly for me, but for the Nora fandom. So I'm supposed to scan them, and she's supposed to clean them. I think she'll be the one to upload the files? But of course, I'll be providing mirrors. Anyway, we'll be teaming up to provide the scans. I'm really happy she's helping because I know I wouldn't have been able to finish it all on my own. Or I would have, eventually, but only after some 500 million years.

Besides, she's good with photoshop [better than me by a longshot], and I think she's using this to gain experience/practice. -shrugs- I don't mind. I get the work done with only half the effort, so why not?

But since we've been busy with uni and shit, we're still doing it at a snail's pace. Of course, I am determined to finish the series [I've even already planned how many meals I should miss in order to be able to afford the other seven volumes], even if I don't get any help. I'm that stubborn, yes, but so is my not-so-new partner in crime. So I really think that we'll be able to finish this [sometime].

Now, if we can only get more money to buy other manga... and maybe some translators.. I know where I could get some raw manga... and then we could put up our own scanlation team... -snigger- big dreams, oh idiotic one.

SO I'll be updating the Nora post again when we actually have something to show. I promise I won't abandon this fandom project. We'll finish it for sure.
