I just finished watching Ookiku Furikabutte.

IT WAS FUN!


The ending really had me screaming~ Hanai made a really good, powerful throw, and Abe did a good job defending the home plate. Mihashi was just too cute in episode 25. XD

Episode 25 made me go GAH. First, there was Mihashi fretting over what Abe said in his text message.. and Abe getting so worked up about his Mihashi not answering his messages.. and not being friendly with him as he is with the others (READ: TAJIMA)..

Abe is just so.. so.. so... Abe. XD I really love Abe's character. He's the quiet, over-thinking type, you know? And I really think he has a mean, possessive streak in him, especially when it comes to Mihashi (HIS PITCHER).

Back to episode 25, though.. There was also that part where Tajima actually asks Abe to give Mihashi a massage. OMG. GAH. Tajima is Momokan's evil spawn of shounen-ai-ness! XDDDDD


But doesn't anyone find it weird that Tajima is so emphatic? Specially towards Mihashi... Even Abe wonders how Tajima can clearly see what Mihashi means by his gestures..


And wasn't it quite funny that Hanai was thinking that if Abe hadn't gotten angry at Mihashi, he would have instead?


Funny.. funny, but true.. So I wonder if anyone's noticed that the reason why Tajima can relate with Mihashi so much is because they think along the same lines... And the reason why Hanai can tolerate Abe is because he also thinks the way Abe thinks..


Which brings me to this: Mihashi = Uke. Abe = [Scary]Seme. Tajima = [Power]Uke. Hanai = Seme.


Tajima = Mihashi + [sexual]Power
Abe = Hanai + Scaryness

Also, wasn't it funny that when Tajima got up to hit their winning hit (the one which brought Abe and Izumi home), Mizutani, Mihashi and HANAI were fanboying over him? XD

Scenario:

Mizutani, Mihashi and Hanai: -cheering for Tajima-
Tajima: -looks back and winks at them-
MMH: -blush- Tajimaaaa... -fanboys-

AND! Doesn't Tajima look cute in yellow? It make him look so cheery~ And Abe.. I wonder how'd Abe look like wearing blue.. -squeeeee-

-laughs- I'm just so happy~ I was finally able to finish this series! I thought they were going to lose.. BUT they won! And I was just so happy for them! Waaaaah! Mihashi was absolutely adorable when he was smiling at Tajima~

Anyway, I was finally able to catch up with the manga, too~ Well, I haven't exactly read the manga, but I already have a copy at hand. You guys might want to take a look at raep_time for more details on the manga.

AAAH, Oofuri. You made me love you within 26 episodes! Well, actually, I was already hooked on the first episode, and I was already in love by the third. IT'S JUST THAT GOOD A SERIES.

To all the sports manga / anime enthusiasts out there, I definitely recommend Oofuri. To all the non-enthusiasts, I still recommend it. You don't have to know baseball to love this series. You don't have to be a yaoi shipper either. You just really have to have experienced adolescence to be able to make a connection with this wonderful fandom. It really is just all about growing up... the bittersweet, unforgettable, unavoidable journey we all have gone, are going and will be going through to get to adulthood...


I won't be making any overviews for this, as someone had already made those (this person even has screencaps! XD).. I am, however, willing to spread the Oofuri love~ So I might just end up writing fanfics / updating dl links..
