What is it with me and all this thinking, nowadays? It's supposed to be Christmas, damnit. I should be all happy and jolly and shit. Not broody and dark and angsty. I hate angst. Really.

But it just seems unwilling to leave me alone, even for the holidays.


Whatever. -sigh- I just wish the new anime series premiering this coming season wouldn't be bad...

The upcoming anime are so going to suck. I just know it! Full of mindless fluff and idiotic plots and all that girly-girly shit, fuck. Oh, I'm so pretty everyone just can't get enough of me but in reality I'm pretty useless and all I can do is cry and whine blah blah blah. Yeah bitch, we've heard that moronic story before, go pollute some younger kids' brains someplace else, would'ya?

I'm just so sick and tired of all the pointless anime just polluting the air. Can't there be any fun anime? Or comedic anime? Or even dark and angsty anime, I'll take it! As long as it has a point, really, I don't care what genre it is anymore. I'll take anything, just anything, as long as it has some valid point somewhere. Not just some lovey-dovey infested crap. Jeez.

It's not that I don't like the lovey-dovey infested crap. For goodness sake, I made it through Kare Kano [His and Her Circumstances] without directing a single flame to any of the characters. I made it through Ayashino Ceres without bashing Aya for her goddamned stupidity. I made it through Junjou Romantica, through Gakuen Heaven, hell, even through Boys Be [and we all know how much of a romantic crapfest that one was, yikes], and look at me! I took it, I swallowed it, I watched it. I was okay with it. So I have no problem with all the love-fest shit.

But my problem is, why is it that more and more of the idiotic ones are appearing? Can't there be another Death Note-like plot in there somewhere? Come on, you have to admit that that one was a stroke of genius. And, yes, maybe a little too hard to overcome, but I'm not really asking for someone to aim to dethrone DN or whatever. I'm just asking for a little bit more substance.

Considering that a lot of series today are showing signs of ending [Gintama, Naruto, KHR, maybe even Bleach. D:], you just have to wonder: What's next for me in the anime/manga world? Will there be any upcoming series that can keep me occupied as much as my previous one/s had? Well it seems to me that there just isn't any. Or maybe that's the SJ fangirl in me talking, but still. You just have to wonder... what else is there for the average SJ fan[girl]? Or to rephrase that: Will there be anything left for the average SJ [girl] fan after the current ones end? It's not like it's the end of the industry, for sure, but what about the fan[girl]s who can't adapt themselves to the too fluffy fluff [like me]? What about them, the loyal SJ fan[girls who love to see their MANLY bishies]? What's next for them, then? Why aren't there any good anime/manga of the shounen genre coming out?!

I'm sorry. I think I just had a relapse of some sort. I just need my SJ fix, really. And no, I'm not just pertaining to the Jump brands. Sorry, I seem to have incorporated the term "SJ" as a general term for the genre Shounen. Whatever. All I know is that there is a serious lack of SJ around here. Seriously. [And we fangirls just can't live without our Shounen fix. No. We can't.]




Anyway, on to other business.
