I thought of changing my layout, but I got lazy and decided that it wasn't worth the bother. : |
Finally got around to using my facebook account - which has been gathering cobwebs in whatever place it's being stored. I created it way back, but I never got around to fiddling with - or at least, not until the boom reached the people over here, and now it seems that facebook's all what everybody's talking about.
Anyway, in a stroke of pure genius [or momentary bout of insanity, you tell me], I searched for my previous English/Journalism teacher in high school and "friended" her. : | I don't know if I should just run away now. I usually use just my pen name and my real surname for signing up in social networking sites [even here], but because I am a genius [or bat shit crazy], I added a custom message where I put my real name. So she would recognize me. And add me, of course.
Yes, I should start running away now.
Not that it's bad being friends with previous teachers [even current ones]... but I guess I'm a little embarrassed. Ah, but that's what I get for going with my impulsive decisions; I crash and burn. >///<
Anyway, about the layout. I was thinking of changing it to a Hetalia-themed one, like what I did with my LJ [pimping my other journal yay! http://galeaya.livejournal.com], but it took so much work to get that one set up. I wasn't so anxious about getting rid of my previous LJ layout because I really didn't put that much effort into making it, so when I got a chance to change into something more presentable, I quickly grabbed it. The same is not true for this journal's layout, though.
The last time I changed my blogspot layout it took me approximately a week just to finish getting the codes right. And it took me three web browsers and a multitude of template sites just so I could get it right. Even the images I used for the header I had to spend time creating - perfecting. Even the uploading was hell.
In short, I spent so much effort in making the previous layout that it's making me reluctant to change it - even now when it's already approximately a year since I first created it.
[And in that time, I've reformatted my laptop at least five times and upgraded the OS at least twice. :D]
I want to change it because it's already old. I want a cleaner look, and there's a newer layout/template that could accomplish that. And I really want to change it to a Hetalia theme, since Hetalia's really taken over my fandom senses. But it's so annoying and frustrating to see all that effort go to waste, and when I think that way, I just want to keep it untouched. Conflict galore, hello. ;A;
Still, I'm thinking that since I've been rarely updating this site [try never, idiot!], I guess I could keep this layout - and make it the last one. That is to say, this will be the last layout for my blogspot account - I will be keeping this until such a time that I won't even make any effort to go here and just stick to my livejournal one [like how I did with my tabulas].
-shrugs- It was bound to happen eventually. I knew I couldn't keep the weekly updates alive, specially since my schedule for uni changed. It's because of those Saturday classes that I have - normally, I update stuff on Friday nights, but because of classes, I've had to delay until Sunday - which defeats the purpose of posting updates, because by that time, everyone would have already seen them at Onemanga.
Still, it was fun doing it. I was working on auto for the most part, but it was really fun seeing the site counter go up each week - meaning that there were people coming to read, although no one was commenting. And I met some of them too; I was chatting with someone at plurk that one time, and I posted a link to this site... and the person suddenly reacted and began telling me that s/he knew that site and that s/he had no idea s/he was talking to THE SAME PERSON. [Imagine my surprise because I've always thought that only three people ever go to this site on a regular basis.]
At any rate, I guess this is one of those I'm-getting-to-goodbye-but-I'm-not-quite-there-yet posts. I might post something else later, but I don't anyone should expect it to be an update. -sigh- It's been fun, blogspot, but I have to move on now. So.. goodbye..
